I hv ask it before but no reply. Actually, after read thru the book, I am quite "buy" the concept thus, I buy the plus lens for my girl. But she is quite relunctant to wear it. As only try 2 mths, don't know whether it work or not.
Do any mom try it and any comment??

QQTT,
我都幫個女佩過遠視鏡改善/預防近視.  同樣地, 佢唔太鐘意帶, 因為話睇野會浮起同好暈.  而我帶佢去理工覆診既時侯亦有同視光師傾d個問題.  佢既解釋就係佢地"正常"視光師既角度係追求清楚.  因為而家係佢地眼球發育既時候, 佢地睇得清唔清楚係會影響佢地腦部既發育.  所以我決定唔再用d個方法.  而我自己呢就原本有6xx度近視, 3年前開始只係佩5xx度數既眼鏡, 到上年就可以帶到4xx度數o勒.  我唔知係咪年紀大開始有遠視就會減到近視.  不過我自己可以接受睇得唔咁清.  而家4xx睇野都好Okay無問題.

我就帶個女去書個作著間荃灣鋪到配囉.  不過你最好都同自己視光師傾下啦.  我就放棄左幫個女用d個方法, 因為一講到腦部發育真係唔敢搏.  個個作著d態度都幾吋架.  不過如果你想知多d佢既理倫, 佢都會同你傾.

基本上自己睇完書然後"自己" 覺得個方法好然後找自己個囝囝囡囡去試絕對會"害"死佢地~~~
你地知唔知咁樣"有機會"有弱視眼??

I think you are talking about "fogging".

Poly U got a multi-million grant few years ago to test the effect of wearing plus lens on retarding short-sightedness. But, as you know, the result is "no effect".

So, don't waste the money and happiness of your daughter anymore.

For adults, setting in of presbyopa (Lo Far) will reduce the need of your short-sightedness, this is only a nature phenomenon.

Why not ask an eye doctor for second opinion?

The chinamyopia.org is NOT a professional organization, I've read through it and found tons of wrong concept, non-scientific descriptions.

Some examples -

戈基博士1977年去函美國國家醫藥總局的信件 - There is NO 美國國家醫藥總局 in this world! You try to search for "National Institute of Medicine" and you'll know why!

Dr. Stirling Colgate is an astrophysicist, are you sure that you are going to believe in his simple letter, which containts NO SCIENTIFIC DATA at all?

I've searched Medline, and found NO doctor/scientitist called Francis Young, and NO ARTICLE carrying the title "The Development and Control of ....". Not sure where does it come from.

This world is full of pseudo-sciences, be careful and watch out. If in doubt, ask!

You are welcome.

One thing I've to say is (and to say sorry to the www.chinamyopia.org) is that: there is really a National Institute of Medicine in USA. However, the institute is intended to advance and protect the health professions and sciences, and to promote health care-related research.

But my comment on the letter to the institute still holds - that it contains no scientific fact or data.
