Some private schools will ask u to give up central allocation if they grant u an offer. But I think the majority will still let u join. However, if u accept an offer from dss, you must give up central allocation.

For girls ok, coz quite a lot of good dragon private schools. But for boys, most r dss~_~

係呀，私小間間唔同，先shortlist你有興趣嘅，再遂間問。有啲係唔俾大抽獎。
不過，其實第一輪自行係咪一定冇影響? 係咪無論如果都可以去報自行呢?

Some dss and private schools will grant offers before the discretionary stage. Icqm and gt r some of them.

Although I don't like this policy, but I don't think it is stupid, as DSS are subsidy by govt fund, so they wont allow you to hold the place at DSS and at the same time get an offer from govt aided school.
