1) You can enrolled your baby into Pre-nursery next year. Some schools will have interview with other kids at the same time and let you get into the pre-nursery class in the 2nd term. However i think most school have their interview already.
2) Yes, however i will suggest you still go to interview next year for K1. You kids can repeat in K1 or K2 depends on situation and at least get some interview experience.
3) As the competition is keen, i think it's better to attend pre-nursery class. (even though my son didn't and he's a "small son") Or choose some playgroup which train the baby discipline to get used to the school life
I am just browsing for my 2nd daughter kg arragenment. For your reference, my elder daughter also born on dec. And just completed the game of p1 application this year. My experience was difficult to get into your favorite school for k1 so better apply few more. The gap was obvious at pn and k1. However, my girl caught up from k2. I believe because she also learn from the big kids a lots. Agreed with the parent you can teach your kid at home. After all, kg stuff was really easy. It was good to turn your kid into big kid but I think timing is important. Otherwise the kid will keep learning repeated easy material and may lose learning interest. Just sharing as 過來人。
