English Curriculum -what is going on?
I have confusions on the English curriculum and wondering what is going on with the English teaching at Primary One, get lost now as a parent in following up my child's English learning, if you have any idea, please help me to clarify:
1) There are changes on native English teachers, and parents have received no notification, is this happening in all classes? or only in one class? anybody receive notification for that?
2) The structure of learning changes often and as parents no knowing what's going on with the learning structure, e.g. regular spelling which has been done before, now is gone, not knowing why? regular english reading pack (3 books) every week now is gone, replaced by another system, what is the purpose of this system, phonic learning, volcab. learning? grammar learning? high frequency word learning? not knowing why? how do these changes tie with the curriculum design? why these changes have to be made?
If other parents know the logics of the English curriculum, help me to clarify or help to reduce my anxiety on that. I am back to work now, I really need a structure to follow the kid's learning.
The other subjects are excellently designed and well organized, for this English subject, I am extremely headached...
