The fundamental concept is, banding is applicable to students only, not the schools.
However, the normal assumption is if a primary school has over 50% of band 1 students, then they will be referred to as Band 1 school. However, EDB has banned the publication of students' banding since 2007/2008.
Since then, the normal way to guess this percentage is by their allocation results to EMI schools (which is supposed to be an outdated definition since 2010/2011). Unfortunately this is just a rough estimate. |
