請問有冇小朋友唔識普通話但考倒英普班呢? 我想小朋友入英普班, 但小朋友未接觸過普通話, 聽聞考英普班要用普通話interview....

我2個仔考o個時都唔識，就算問pth都係d 簡單對答，唔會好難

簡單溝通冇問題，起碼pth老師打電話比我，我都可以同佢對答到，但未必係超級標準，我大仔升k3，讀英普班，細佬9月讀k1，都係讀英普(不過我地學校k1係廣+英，k2才英普)

唔係間間要用普通話面試, 最好向你心儀果幾間學校先問下! 我覺得其實interview時最緊要小朋友唔怕羞, 要知道真係有其他小朋友識用普通話同老師對答, 但攞唔哂啲位嘅, 如果你想你小朋友喺一眾唔識普通話嘅小朋友中脫穎而出, 最緊要先唔好令佢面試時太緊張, 另外簡單教佢用普通話簡單回答自己名, 見面時說聲老師好, 走時說聲老師再見, 而家長就當然又再要講下好鍾意佢地普通話教學等, 應該都有好大機會! 加油!

I believe for K1 interview teachers may not expect the kid to be very good at PTH. But as other parents said you should check the KG their interview medium for 英普班 so that you can be better prepared in case you are being asked. Different schools may have different practices.

I'm not sure about K1 interview but I had an experience of PN interview though in PTH.
My son had an interview for PN and it was a PTH teacher.  She did ask him in PTH all the way during the interview.  There were some questions such as identifying which picture was showing dog, which one was showing banana etc.  This means that at least the school would expect my son be able to understand some PTH, even though they may not expect him being able to speak in PTH.  Also, the teacher asked the parents a few questions in PTH too.

Some schools may have either PTH or English teacher doing the interview.  If you are lucky enough, you may be interviewed by English teacher instead.
So you should check with the school their required language to be used during the interview.

Of course, finally, it also depends on which school you are applying for.  Some may have a higher demand on PTH proficiency and some may have lower.
