有無小朋友申請St. Catherine同Kentville都唔收？見倒咁多人都比呢兩間收左，我好失落，係未我個囡真係比人地差咁多？

如果鐘意這倆間學校，可以寫信比學校實有機會入到，我三年前試過在開學前去問St. Catherine有冇位，佢肯收我仔呀!

Is your daughter on waiting list for St. Catherine? I heard that St. Catherine has a very long waiting list and there is rumors that they don't really have rejection.

Try to send a letter to St. Catherine.

Is your daughter a small girl?

Anyway there are many other good schools too. Don't give up a forest for a single tree!

Don't be unhappy and question the problem on your kid..

Everyone grows differently than the other as well as mentality. What do you expect from a baby just 2 yrs old and is required to attend the interview?

There are lots good kindergarden around and pick one that suits your family better. :wink:

請不要唔開心。每間學校都有其特定的收生標準，祇是未能即時成功配對。如果你很想小朋友入讀此兩校, 可寫求位信嘗試。很多未能即時成功配對的小朋友, 到最後也成功穫此兩校取錄，有些個案甚至是在開學前一天才收到通知有位。

其實同齡的小朋友, 除小數例外, 資質都是沒有太大分別。不要因此事而增添自己及小朋友的壓力。

其實收咗唔代表甚麼.

千其唔好咁想,你個女咁細個就能單憑一,兩個 interview 的結果被定為好或差嗎?

其實壓力好多時係由父母的想法做成.如果你有咁重的比較心就更不適合送你的小朋友到名校讀書.

好學校多的是,現今出生低,只担心如果取捨好學校.

多謝你地，其實你地講既我都好明白，只係d朋友係咁打電話黎話兩間都收佢地，又問我邊間收我個囡，當身邊個個都係咁，真係有d難受。
我已經寄左封信去sc，不過都無咩期望。

上天自有安排，係未？

I know how you feel. My friend's daughter was 2 months older than my boy. She's got accepted by all 5 schools she interviewed except for St. Catherine. My boy was accepted by 2 out of 4 schools. I was upset too.

Anyway even they are not accepted by Kentville and SC, it's not the end of the world.

呢兩間我都有報，結果兩間都係 waiting list。我一知根德係 waiting list 時都唔開心，之後 St. Catherine 又係 waiting list 唔開心好多！

本來都想寫信去，最後都無，因為唔想強求．．．原因係根德好早寫字，佢唔收我個囡，可能佢真係覺得佢小肌肉未得，唔收亦唔係咩壞事；至於 St.Catherine．．．聽天由命！

Don't feel upset.  KV and SC are just overrated.

My son applied 10 schools and was accepted by 4 (Man Sung waiting for result and 2 others not interviewed yet).  Kentville rejected but SC accepted.  I will not pay for SC because both KV and SC are of similar styles and they are not my favourites.  Just applied to learn the experience of interview and try to see why they are so famous.

Now my first choice is Tak Shun.  Its curriculum is activity based and it is Catholic.  It is tied to primary school and has good reputation and history.  I asked the opinion of the experienced teacher in my son's playgroup and she said the school also trains the children's discipline.  You can refer to the thread on Tak Shun to know more.

I also paid for Creative Primary's Kindergarten because it is also activity based.  Smart kids must have balanced development of emotional, physical and academic abilities.  I doubt KV or SC can develop the first 2 well, having small playgrounds for hundreds of students.
