BB剛1個月大, 初出生時醫院的聽力普查不合格 - 特殊教育

現在BB1個月大, 初生時做政府醫院的聽力普查不合格, 醫院排期到5個月大先再check, 我們商量過覺得雖然貴, 但都找間私家check好d,有以下問題想問:

1. 政府醫院預期到5個月大先check, 佢地咁做係咪因為要bb有返咁上下大個先可以check到? 定係只係無期呢?
2. 私家做左測試, 使唔使再去政府醫院做? 兩面都去會好d嗎? 定係政府的是普通&簡單跟進, 去都係浪費時間?
3. 政府醫院的聽力普查是否每個初生bb都要做的?
4. 我見到其他人話做測試時, bb要熟睡的, 最好食完藥去做, 請問係乜野藥? 去邊度買? 定係要睇兒科專科問醫生拎?(無病無痛去睇拎支藥好貴喎~)普通科醫生得唔得?

Hi,

Let me try my best tp answer your queries.  Hope others can help you too.

1) There may be other reasons which led to failure in the testing.  These issues may disappear later.  This is one of the reasons why Gov't hospital always suggest baby re-do the test in a few months period.  But I am sure most of the parents will not wait and will go to private sector to check.

2) Even though we usually has to wait very long in Gov't hospital, I still recommend to keep this practice to see Gov't doctor.  They do have great support like seminars especially when you kids go to primary school.

3) I am not quite sure if it is a compulsory test for new born baby as both my daughters were born in private hospital.

4) I don't think you need to buy any medicine. You can book the most appropriate time for your kid where he / she is always sleeping.  For example, after meals.

3) 是的, 香港於2007年2月1日開始全面的新生嬰兒聽覺普查。凡在公立醫院出生的嬰兒，必須於出生後首兩天接受聽力檢查。

4) 如果你去私人聽覺中心, 他們會轉介你去附近的兒科醫生。兒科醫生會替你BB做檢查, 然後開訓覺藥比你, 同埋講比你知做測試前預早幾多先食藥。

謝謝你們, 已book了峰力做test, 諗住約埋奧迪睇下邊個早d啦, 點知佢好似唔想做我生意咁, 係咁話咁細個bb好難做, 做唔到, 好似趕客咁, 又唔專業。

咁細的BB唔駛食藥, 自然訓覺就可以做架喇! 你可以試下做測試前唔比佢訓住, 有D家長會去到中心先餵奶, 食完奶就開始訓喇, 做測試時訓得好甜就Very Good!

My baby also failed one of his ears in Cannosa's hearing test, and now waiting for Queen Mary test. Anything I can do for him at this period?

Do you need to wait for very long before the test in QM?

If it is not long, then let's wait.

It it is really long, then you may consider doing test in private clinic. In this case, you can know the result earlier.

Queen Mary test on May (baby's 2nd + month), in fact baby did 1 test in his 1st month in Queen Mary and the result is the same as cannosa ( 2nd day of birth) one side fail.
However, QM doctor said it may be due to 中耳可能有積水 so arranged another test for the baby . The coming one need to do when baby is sleeping . The one he did is just put the head phone to his ears.

BTW, I want to know will the baby sleep more if have hearing problem? my baby only wake up when he want to drink milk , nearly can sleep 22 hour everyday

我未聽過弱聽小朋友會訓得多D...亦沒有看過有關的研究提過這一點。不過知道如果弱聽, 聽到行雷或大聲關門時, 他們不像其他小朋友一樣嚇醒。可能會反應慢點, 甚至沒有反應。反應依據不同的弱聽的程度不同。

你的小朋友最少一邊聽力正常, 年紀又那麼小, 行為上應該不會見到太大的分別。除非另一邊的聽力差得很遠, 而且正常聽力的一邊剛剛被壓向枕頭。
