Re: 請問將軍澳或九龍區邊到有 "Jolly Phonic" 學?
It is a bit inconvenient to come from Junk Bay to us. However, you can consider taking a bus (7xx, I think) to Festival Walk which is close to us by taxi. Better still, you can get off anywhere between Kwun Tong and Telford Gardens and change to 38, 42C, 269C etc. that will take you directly to our doorsteps.
As for the age limitation, we do apologise but children below 3.5 do not easily engage in serious learning. We do have playgroups that start at 3 but many parents do not want the small one to travel far. Most importantly, we think that children under 3 should spend time dealing with sounds and objects instead of written words (which however helps them when they start formal phonics learning). In a nutshell, starting too early may not be a benefit.
As for the training, these come up once or twice a year and this year is happens to be on 10/7. There are however two ways to make up. On 21/8, Pathways Foundation will organise a 3 hour talk on JP give by our trainers. Also, we are planning to have monthly seminars to address various topics in phonics, which may start on 28/8. This will be a year-round program aiming at in-depth discussions on various topics which would be missed with the short time available in one-day training such as that on 10/7. In our opinion, the seminars will be even better than the one-day training.
If you want to know what is delivered in one-day training see it here http://www.jflc.com under the summer programmes. There are also detail information about how to come to us by bus and mtr. Afterall, we are not on the moon.
At your service,
