GHS will give out P1 application form on coming Sat. Any current P1 parents can tell how long it will take to get the form and process the form?

Is it worth to go there early in the morning? How long the queue will be?

To get the form is not too long ~15 minutes to 30 minutes. If you go early, then you will interview early. I know some parents prefer interview in the afternoon, then they should arrange to get the form in the afternoon.

Personally, I would recommend to get the form early in the morning say ~9:00am.

The GH P1 seat of 2011-2012 will be much lesser due to she has its own kindergarten students this year. Hence, the competition for this year will be very keen.

May I know why some parents prefer interview in the afternoon?

Any idea when will be the interview? Last Sat of Sept?

The interview date of last year is 26 Sep (Sat).

Some parents may need to work on Sat morning; or the kids have ECA need to attend in Sat morning, etc.

One more thing to note. The interview date of GH is used to crash with the application submission day of SFA. Therefore, the parents are busy to carry the kid to interview and then goto SFA to queue for the application submission. Beware that it may require queuing for more than a hour for SFA application submission. Hence, it may have advantage if the interview of GH is in the afternoon, so can submit the SFA application in the morning without rush. Or else, you may need to arrange one parent to accompany the girl to attend the interview while another parent goto SFA for application submission.

If you will also apply DGJS and KTS, then you may also need to aware that their interview day also crash on the same day last year.

Hence, you may have to think about it and consider the timing to submit your application smartly if you may apply the above primary schools.

Do you mean DGJS crash with KTS or DGJS crash with KTS and also crash with GHS?

Back to DGJS and KTS case.

Both deadlines are next Fri. If I submit DGJS this week (probably tomorrow), and KTS on next Fri, will there be any chance the interviews will not crash?

1. GHS Interview crash with SFA Application Submission. (26 Sep last year)

2. KTS interview crash with DGJS interview. (9/10 Oct last year)

As KTS used to have 2 days of interview, then you may consider submit the application for KTS earlier and DGJS a few days later, or vice versa, so that there is a gap between the submission date of these schools. Therefore, it may minimise the chance that the interview date/time of these two schools are crash on the same day or even on the same day but the interview time not close so that you have sufficient time to travel there. Beware that DGJS is in TKO 宝林邨 and quite far away from Kowloon Tong.

I will not consider SFA, so #1 is not an issue for me.

For #2, I will submit KTS application on the last day, so that should imply the interview will be on Sat, probably afternoon. For DGJS, I will try to submit tomorrow (depends whether I can finish making the portfolio tonight), I guess many parents have not yet submitted, probably busy with making the portfolio or waiting for Headmistress/Headmaster's reference letter. So hope the interview granted to me will be on Friday or Sat morning.

Any idea when will be the interview for SPCC? someone said it is mid Oct. Will it crash with DGJS 2nd interview?

GHS interview - only 1 round ?

Understand your situation since we also spent several overnight time for the preparation of the Porfolio for my daughter.

GH just has one interview last year, not sure it will be changed this year.

SPCCPS interview also start at Oct, but the duration is almost 2 to 3 weeks. They have interview spread across school days, so it is impossible to avoid the conflict of interview with other schools.

As I remember, the 2nd interview of DGJS is in November and KTS will be at end of November.

The GH K3 student may not need to apply on Sep 4 since they can fill the application form and submit internally thru the school. The same for girls that have sisters studing at GH primary school where their sisters can help to submit the form to the school instead of submit it on 4 Sep personally.

Yeah, I have also got it yesterday. The wordings are very good, but not sure whether it is the same as other pupils.

The 1st paragraph starts with "A delightful student ...".

Is is the same as yours?

Exactly where is GH. I plan to take a taxi there tomorrow, but not sure if I can get a taxi to come back. Is there any public transportation going there?

there's a mini-bus close to GH's main door going to Choi Hung MTR station.

Does anyone know how many K3 students GH has this year? AND how many Primary 1 students they will take?

I am afraid they won't have much spots left for non GH K3 students.
