小女要升k2啦!
又一村老師真係好好,每日有 newspaper time,
我個女每天回來都同我講今日有乜新聞,
好似四川地震、紅衫軍、港大發明新藥....
從小孩子的童真中學習關怀他人，我突然發覺女兒長大了...

有一次個女早上吵鬧要帶一家中 story book回校,
為趕 school bus, 依佢... (我心想乜事找事, 老師一定叫煩)
結果,女兒回來說老師叫她取咪向全班同學試下講故事，
她就看圖分享了 her story book, 同學老師重拍手...
令她回家自信心大增，還將家中的故事書是寶貝，每天在我面前講完又講...以前她只叫大人講..佢從來唔肯講。

事後老師 call me, tell me what has happened and how is my girl's performance, how his her language development......好感動,怪不得個女咁愛又一村,

又一村沒有一條龍, 又冇雙語班主任,
個仍是一個小孩子成長好地方。

我大女己經在又一村畢業,今年小一。細女今年K.2。
回想4-5年前我特意為她報又一村,另外只報了崇真罷了!(只有這2間)雖然崇真收佢,但我仍然選擇又一村!原因:
1. 環境 : 夠大(因以前有埋小學),活動空間多、空氣
            好、樹木多
2. 老師 : 人手夠, 有愛心耐性,其他工作人員e.g.嬸嬸
            也很足夠,小朋友照顧好
3. 課程 : 唔深、唔谷小朋友,但課程又可與小一涵接,
            上小一完全無問題

佢是一般咁考入去!
佢有學phonic since K2, now keep on have english class.Aslo have ballet for interest and swimming class for her health.

我個女係“大女”,比較定D!

I choose Letterland for her and the learning center just near our house.咁會比較方便!

Also now you can read the story book (chinese/english is OK) for your child to build up the interest on reading.

Just like my daughter, at the end of K2, she can read some simply story books by herself e.g. Oxford Reading Tree.

ok..咁我都比個仔學letterland先, 我想問係咪真係照書咁讀d字比佢聽架?我個仔鐘意我講姑事但我係只係講內容唔係讀出來架..

Beside Letterland, also have other seminar phonic courses. You can search more informations and see which one is suitable to your son.

Firstly, you just read the story to him is OK, in between you can teach him some simple letter sound of a,b,c. If later he know the letter sound already, you can teach some simple word to him.

Beside Oxford Reading Tree, the books on Ladybird is quite OK !

Yes, my elder daughter begin to have english course since K2 (下學期) till now. 我會選擇有外籍老師和小班上堂!

瑪利諾搬咗啦...而家係全日制...協和聽講都幾好...我而家諗試唔試英華, 但收咗就要放棄大抽奬啦..不過英華收既機會都好微因為阿仔係細仔..人地大把大細選擇..

I would like to ask something about GH,
cos it is also my target for my girl.
For Yau Yat Chuen, very free,
how about promoting to GH, would there be an adjustment period for the child? did she happy about the life in GH? like she stayed in YYC?

and how amny homework a day in P1,
do parent needed to closely supervise her home work,
as I am very busy at work,

most of the time, my maid help her to do the home work in K1 now, I hope I can adjust my workload and give more time to her this year.

In the first 2 week they have 1/2 day school to adapt . (It is a grand new primary school when my daughter just in P1 last year, whole school all change to whloe day also. I don't know they will have the same arrangment in the coming P1 or not)

My daughter adapt quite well in GH. Everything are new to her. She enjoy her school life very much.

Homework : mainly worksheets and sometime have handwriting on Chinese & English. ~7-8 homeworks/per day.(English/Chinese/Maths have daily). For P1 , they don't have課外活動, so the last lesson of school is for them to do homeworks. Most of time they can finish all the homework at school. Don't worry!

I am a working mother also (work on shift). Everyday I will check her works myself. I never ask my maid to do. (

thank you for your information,
I liketo see your daughter like GH,

I hope my girl would also like GH,
as I lived in diamond Hill, very near,
and I worked from 1:30 pm to 10:00pm
, she can never wait for me, to do her homework, cos she like YYC homework so much, wanta to complete at once all the time..

k2 , she will study afternoon class, at least, I can see her in morning,

Your daughter now in K1 (am) but you change to pm in K2 & k3? Is it difficult for her to change the pattern when she going to P1. My girl need to wait up @6:15am and the school bus will come @6:50am. Maybe you live in Diamond Hill can be later.
