I am also thinking about these two elite schools! St Mary is using Chinese which I think my girl will adapt better but MCS is using English which may be good for her language development but she will face some difficulties at the school. Also, I am worry about the teaching styles of MCS, will it be too strict!

As you mentioned the strict teaching style of MCS due to its religion or the personal belief in the school?

To me, I would prefer St. Mary's. The main reason is that I want my girl to go to St. Mary's Canossian College (St. Mary's a one dragon school and I assume all the girls can go to its secondary school) which is good in both English and acadamic results. The girls that I know from St. Mary's are polite and have good character.

St Mary and MCS are both through-train schools, most of the girls can go straight to the secondary school. I think that MCS may be more demanding on the kids and it relies more on the parents to strengthen their kids' performance, but I am attracted by its language teaching though it will be more difficult to get a place.

St mary is thro train but MCS just around 60-70 % can go up to secondary?? But i agree MCS perhaps more attractive as it is an english primary school while st mary is chinese. But how about the academic results of these 2 schools? which one is better? Is it more stressful (both the parents and students) to study in MCS and more relax in st mary?
