Can anyone share with me what I need to prepare for the CIS interview? There is an interview with the parent and one interview with the child.

Thanks

the parents interview was just a chance for you to ask questions.
the child interview is like a collection of classroom activities and outdoor activities.
nothing really 'hard'!

so the parents interview is an opportunity to understand and should not affect the chance of admission very much?

I personally did not think it affect the chance of admission.

We weren't prepared and did not ask a lot of questions.  Our session finished in 10 minutes while most other parents took much longer.

But our daughter was accepted so I guess it was indeed a session for parents to ask questions.

Hi eaymom,

How did you prepare your child for the interview?

Do you mind if I ask where your child attends kindergarten?

Thanks.

We didn't prepare anything.  We just told our daughter that she was going to playdate with other kids.

She went to Woodland preschool.

Dear Eaymom,

Can you share your daughter communicate in English or bi-lingual during the assessment? How about the parent's interview.

Do we need to communicate in both English and mandarin?

Thanks very much!

I wasn't sure what language she spoke during the assessment.  She herself was fluent in both mandarin and english.

I spoke in English during the parents' interview as my mandarin is quite weak.
