1. Transparency:
   GT has better transparency.  The web page of Logos is too superficial.

2. Principal:
   Both are good.  GT's principal is younger.  Don't know whether Logos' principal will retire before the graduation of the coming P1 class.

3. Extra-curricular activities:
   Quite a few in GT.  None in Logos

4.  Past record:
      Academic result of GT's graduate is acceptable (bearing in mind that they just spend ? two years in the present school premise).  Logos has no primary school graduate yet.

5. Religion:
   None in GT.  Christian in Logos

6. Native English Teacher:
   ?4 in GT.  None in Logos

7. Class size:
   22-24 in GT.  ?30 in Logos

8.  School sites:
  GT- annex in mongkok (after 2006)
  Logos - ? annex in Sai Kung, not confirmed yet
  GT - primary and secondary section in same site
  Logos - separate sites for primary and secondary section.

9. school fee:
? about 20% higher in GT

10. school size (total no of students)
   much bigger in Logos

11. school governing broad:
   Parents's participation in GT

12. medium of instruction

Dear busypa,

Thank for your information. Do you have kid study in any one of the schools?
I prefer Logo due to its 辦學理念. But, the school is too new, has students up to P3 only. All the information are given by school on paper only and there are a lot of uncertainty. No sure whether it would implement same as what the school says.
As the princiapl of the kindergarten said my kid is 資優, is GT better for him?

本人女兒在真道讀三年班, 亦曾在優才和真道間作出抉擇, 終於選了真道, 現在亦沒有後悔, 因女兒實在很喜歡返學, 回家主動完成自己的家課, 而且還教識我很多的科學及課外知識, 不妨考慮

我唔係第一次聽見, 話小朋友返真道好開心! 可唔可以講多D是甚麼原因?

此外, 功課多不多? 大約幾多? 你覺得深唔深? 主要是甚麼性質的, 抄寫? 創作?

又聽聞此校需要家長很多時間參與, 是否真的? 為什麼? 要親自教小朋友嗎?

I don't have any kid studying in either schools. I guess I may have to make a choice between these two schools in future.
What are the 辦學理念 of Logos that you love? Can you list them out and state to what extent they have been achieved at this moment? Thank you.

My son studys in GT school and he defintely not an one of the gifted kids (資優). Frankly speaking, GT just the brand of the school and doesn't mean they only accept gifted kid. I sure each school would have certain amount of gifted kids including Logo and they do well to develop this group of the students.

Also, I think most primary schools would try to let their students enjoy their school life. My son's ex-classmate studys in La Salle. He also feels very happy and enjoy his school life.

When picking the school, I think parents must buy in their vision (辦學理念) and committed their decision. Any new school can be good or bad. One of the factors would be their parent. If most parents committed to the school and constantly provide constructive feedback, I sure the school would be good.

However, we buy in GT school's vision. My son and us are very happy and he enjoy very much his school life.

小女每天回來都很開心分享她在課堂上的時刻, 我覺得老師教法有趣味, 令他們不覺得悶! 例如科學堂, 全都是做小實驗, 沒有要他們強記名詞或抄寫, 回家後她都會解給我聽, 還希望我一起和她做這些實驗呢! 此外, 功課不多, 每晚她都有時間看課外書, 至於深唔深, 其實我覺得都不淺呀! 大部份功課都要他們自己做的(因沒有特定的答案"數學例外", 都要他們在課堂上的理解後自己做) 我們幫她有限呢

有時課堂上都會拿一些新聞來討論和發表意見. 至於家長的參與與否是自己的問題呀, 學校就有很多機會, 大部份時間都是平時晚飯後約7:30pm或星期六pm, 還有很多機會觀課

Do you understand ar? There are lots of 新加入國民 come to discuss Logos academy and most of them are stand on one side. That is "Logos" is the best school.

Why so many 新加入國民 join the similar topic to give opinion lei? It is very simple lah. They all buy the concept of Logos, right. They want more parents to apply Logos ma.

Do not think too much lah. Join them and let your kid apply Logos lah.

My son is studying in Logos' P1, he is very happy with his school life, not only the interesting lessons, but also the caring teachers. I appreciated the effort all the teaching team input. I found the my son's learning is different to the others. You know their concept is teaching the kids love learning and they will automatically learn by themselves. I totally agreed with Chunhei, no matter which school you choose, you must agree with the school concept and work together with the school, if you always challenge with the school that you kid is studying ; it is not good for both.

As I had studied both in HK and overseas, I don't like the education policy and environment in HK, 填鴨式教育. After many years, the HK government changed the education policy very frequently but the teaching method not changed.
After the introductory seminar in Logo's, up to my understanding, its teaching mode and learning environment are closed to those of overseas, i.e. more interaction, a lot of students' involvement, different kinds of homework, less writing/dictation, 11 years to finish primary+secondary, etc. If the school can run exactly according to its mission, it would be the perfect school according to my requirement. However, the school is too new. As I mentioned before, there would be a lot of uncertainty.

My son also accepted by GT and waiting for Logo's to call for 2nd interview. As GT requested us to confirm the acceptance by 20 Nov, I called Logo's yesterday and wanted to ask whether my son will be arranged for 2nd in. in order to make decison. The lady said the school is calling one by one now and will call the one required for 2nd in. I did not have chance to speak out my son's name.

真道的網頁上寫了13-Nov中午後過後就有收生結果了, 我都好緊張, 因為小兒都申請了真道, 也已經2nd interview了, 雖然臻美已取錄了, 但我也鍾情直道, 現在個心15/16, 各位直道/臻美的家長可以比多D意見我嗎? 我只是想出我的兒子開心上學, 冇壓力, 小小功課, 但又學到
