本人正為小女升p1的決定煩惱, 很想得大家指教.
請問大家對標題所指的三間女校有何意見?
本人女兒只得20分, 想小學中學一條龍, 想她在自己的教會學校成長. 上述三所學校也有良好的學術及德育培養, 真的不知何選哪間, 請你們給予本人寶貴的意見. 本人有朋友的女兒在天神讀小一, 也有朋友的女剛由st mary's小學升上中學部. 有人指天神同學會被st mary's的學生"睇小", 也有人話st mary的女仔"看不起人", 有朋友提出指瑪利諾的小朋友相處好, 學校重品德, 我本人不是此等學校的舊生, 真的不知如何選擇, 請比意見, 謝謝!!
當然, 我也關注, 我只得20分, 入哪間自行收生較易??謝謝!

三所都是好學校, 但瑪利諾並不是一條龍.

thank you for your reply. I don't know it and do you have any more information about these three school? Through train means most of the primary students no matter how well she performs in academic will promote to the secondary section, right?

I think "no matter how well she perform" is absolutely can go to Secondary. Do you mean how "worst" still can go or not?

20分, 三間學校都要抽籤... 理性去睇, 機會係:
天神 >> st mary <> maryknoll

天神升stmary會被stmary升stmary看不起? 不會吧... 只是自己"型"住吧, 你說得對, 他們德育培養都很好, 應該不會看不起人... 只是學校實在太出名, 給人傲氣的感覺, 但我看上去卻是自信的表現... 另外, 我覺得天神氣氛係好自強不息, 紅磡居民以前都叫學校做"天神村", 入去了的女仔都有機會入st mary, 幾十寒暑, 今天是接了龍呢! 嘉諾撒會這麼多學校, 為什麼只有天神可接龍?

無論如何, 入到三間任何一間, 都是值得開香檳的...

至於選哪一間, 真是要問一下自己了, 我當天也是希望女兒可以在自己教會學校成長. 但今天看原來自己並不是那麼單純, 當年round1選了 maryknoll. 抽不到....round2 甲選了 maryknoll, 乙(本區)選天神. 都抽唔到, 最後抽到尾二至願, 灰爆.... 當時在不停後悔為什麼不在第1round 選機會大點的天主教學校? 當然大局已定, 無得後悔... 其實說這些是想給所有20分家長一些心理預備... 選小一真是很仆心的....

還有補充一點, 我的朋友同事都有女兒在maryknoll/st mary 讀書, 我接觸下她們都是好孩子... 家校配合, 孩子自然善良, 被人看不起有咩所謂? 自己看起自己最重要, 做人樂觀, 有自信有愛心, 一家和洽更重要...

當天校長問我:"為什麼想入我們學校? 我第一句就答了"因為我想阿女入天主教學校", 佢即刻話要一些實質的答案... 還質疑我為什麼不在第一round選他們學校? 後來我講左好多學校的優點... 校長才點點頭...

今日看見阿女讀得開心, 那些日子是值得的, 但我也同意校長的問題, 為什麼不在第一round就選?

非常多謝你的分享, 也明白家庭的重要. 但囡囡留在學校的時間真的很長, 所以也會小心替她選校, 希望大家多多指教.
不知天神的校園生活如何? 老師對學生的態度如何?學校學術要求如何? 會否天天要花上3小時或以上時間才完成功課?同學之間關係如何?

嚴,功課量不少, 但如果小朋友合作, 便不成問題, 校園生活快樂, 我女女讀得好開心, 同學之間關係亦很好, 我亦好欣賞我女班的班主任, 有愛心, 又盡責.

don't worry too much cos Chi., Maths and G.S. are in P.1 level. Eng is P.2 level, so........ u need to put more effort on this only.

How about the English Standard of 天神? if they promote to St. Mary in secondary section. will it be very hard to catch up?

st mary小學都係中文小學架啦!其實大家想想我地小學時全港小學都係中文為主,中學就英文為主,只得數間係中文中學.大家都係咁讀架啦!有咩問題.而且st mary會選天神為一條龍自然係有一定自心,一向都有成一半以上考到入天神.咁大家有咩需要擔心呢?我囡囡係天神第一條龍,學校樣樣都跟得好足,大家可以放心!小朋友係海綿黎架,吸智識力强,適應力快,唔洗太擔心跟唔跟得到,多唔多野做,自小習慣就會覺得無咩問題.太少野做咪棧佢地掛住打機上網睇電視.
最重要其實係家長唔好抱主入左天神就一條龍上就乜都唔理呀!個個係咁成績就一定會被拖垮,到時就算比你上到中學你都跟唔上,到時上到中學先黎轉校咪仲慘呀!

I graduated from St. Mary's secondary but not primary, many many years ago. I even not came from Holy Angel, but an ordinary Chinese primary school. From what I observed in the old days, and with the friends I have, I can tell u somethings about the two primary schools.

It's true that both SMCS and HA are Chinese primary. However, in the old days, SMCS used English text book 1 grade higher and taught science etc. in English (I don't know the current states). So when came to F.1, SMCS graduates really had adv on the SMCC 100% English teaching medium. I can tell u: we the girls who came from other schools really had pressure. In that sense, that's normal for girls from SMCS to "look down" on other girls - human nature.

However, I can tell u, after HKCEE, those who stayed in F.6 of SMCC was about half/ half SMCS and other primary. So during the 5 years in SMCC, those smart girls from other schools caught up.

Now, looking at the old friends around me, those who have more outstanding achievements: scholars, bankers, engineers etc. - also about half/ half if you ask them which primary school they attended.

Interesting, right?

Totally agreed.

I'm Holy Angel's graduate, and then St Mary's for secondary school. Though St Mary's used English textbooks one year in advance, I remember I had tutorial classes in summer holiday to catch up that year's (ie F1) English lessons.

In my early days in St Mary's, my results were not that good. But then, I gradually caught up and now, when I look back, we non-St Mary's primary school graduates are not worse than others.
