You have to tried more schools. My BB born in Sep. When he applied some schools for N1, we also faced this problem. Some schools replied us that BB will be in waiting list and even have no chance to interview. You may try some other district. Some schools do not cconcern the age range.

N1唔一定要揾間好出名嘅幼稚園, 近屋企嘅讀住先啦. 我個女係0812, 有3間都收佢插班N1. 希望在人間呢. 努力.

1st year, I think go attending some playgroup class is suitable la. Baby can learn through the games, sing, dance in playgroup class. Some of my friends' kids also attend playgroup before 3 and the kids performance are very good. You may try some playgroup center nearby your home. See if it is good for ur B. Anyway, good luck to you.

my older son I let him join playgroup since 10 months old, non stop crying for 2 months in the whole class (waste money)
then I let him try the half day nursery when he's 2 yrs old, nearly half of the school day he was sick (waste money again) then I decided to quit in the next semster

its not a must for the bb to join the nursery. but if you are working mum the have less time to spend with bb, then you can let him join the nursery

its not all the nursery school dont accept "small bb", you really have to do some research and call to the school in person, so dont give up!

it's tough to be parents esp in HK, add oil ar

CinCin, 不要灰心! 你可能咁啱遇到D唔好既人啫! 我個女都喺細B(07DEC)，不過之前好好彩都有4間PRE-Nur收左，所以佢係今年2月做左插班pre-Nur生。

其實如果係在職媽媽，早D番學有一定好處，好似排隊、SHARING、自己食野、戒片等，不過唔好處係好易病。

我當日面試時，間過一D老師係咪學校唔鐘意細B，好多老師話大B一定會著數D，不過佢地都睇到有D細B好有潛質，所以你唔好灰心呀! 報左先lar, Add oil!

其實都唔怪得幼稚園，因為政府規定，要5歲8個月先可以讀小一，咁你自己計下數，如果細b，佢點都要夠歲數先升得，咁即係要讀多一年囉。幼稚園唔得，咁幼兒園。playgroup都好。我個b係08'2月，咪係今年先讀N1。佢之前都係讀pre...即係0-2歲班。

08年2月BB 今年8/9月讀N1是正常, 唔係遲架!

細B 跟大B一樣, 讀1年Nursary 3年幼稚園就可以升小一, 唔駛特別讀多一年, 因為教育局規定小朋友5歲8個月可以升小一, 而唔係6歲先可以升小一。

幼稚園鍾意大b的原因絕對唔係你所講的升小一歲數問題。

don't be upset. mine is small b also 0810. i applied 8 pn for my child and got 2 rejections, 3 offers (1am and 1pm) and I gave up 3 interviews at the end. Even the high birth rate, there is a lot of new branches of some famous kg. you can still apply the pn even though they told you that the interview will be next May. They actually will call you for interview then.

My b born on December. I decide to let him join N1 next year when he is 2 yrs &9 months old. It is good for him to develop self confidence and have enough talent to pick up the things. Why don't u consider to let him attend the class later? Life is long le It is not neccessary to force him too early.

我囡囡也是細B, NOV 08出生, 才來打算今年12月插班讀N1, 有一間收佢. 因我係自己湊, 睇咗好多人都話大B好D, 想比佢遲D先入學,現在玩住PLAYGROUP先.

咁我想問下, 如果今年先報N1, 2歲9個月才入讀N1 學校會有問題嗎, 會太大嗎? 定應該報K1呢?

我個人想佢做大B的, 但已到K1的年齡, 仍可報N1嗎? 咁可行嗎?

If you want to study N1 for small bb, can try some not famous nearby (like housing estate) KG as back up. These KG will not be full and will accept small B. Actually N1 is not so important to study in famous school. Clase baby is too small not much acedemic knowlege to teach.

Most of the N1 students will apply for K1 again and the K1 will not consider which N1 you go. The most important is baby capability when they go for k1 interview.

Will you consider to be small B first and then leave it until K3 - if cannot get into good primary then retry one more year in K3 so you got two years to try for a good primary school?

Pls make sure the kindergarten accept yr 2008 BB to study N1 in next yr. I found some kindergarten doesn't accept the "Big B (born in 2008)" to apply N1 for next year.
