聖心

Good Hope kindergarten is new after closed for about 30 years (my friend's wife graduated from their kinder before it was closed

). So, there are some uncertainty for sure and the new kindergarten (although it is new and pretty) will need some time to have everything go smoothly with the new team of teachers. So, Sacred Heart will be a better choice. My daughter is studying at SHCK for NC (i.e. K1) this year and I am very satisfy with the balance of their program design and the children are very happy there to learn.

Originally I worry if the program from SHCK will be too easy before my daughter entered this kindergarten. However, I like their primary school so attending SHCK is the best option to secure a place in their primary school without trouble.

After school starts, I realize they have enriched their program a lot this year and although it is basically 活動教學, but they supplement with extra assignments to do at home (There are quite a few home works to do). Also, there are English classes 4 days a week by English-speaking teachers so I think it is sufficient. My daughter doesn't speak English at all before school starts and can use simple English soon after that.

但有一點要留意, 就是聖瑪加利大吳校長會轉到德望做校長. 她在幼兒教育是非常有經驗. 我亦都相信會有部份聖瑪加利大的老師會轉到德望任教. 所以我相信德望kinder是應該無問題的．再者，德望的新校舍的確非常吸引．SH & GH 都是”局”的學校(外間補習班常見專補SH/GH), 所以九龍就選GH, 香港就選SH. 如果可以搬的話, 我會選GH, 因為大，新，well equiped. 要在學校生活１２年，環境因素都好重要.

Well, 'far' refers to distance only but not the travel time to school.

We also considered kindergartens last year like KV and PC, but turns out school bus needs 1 hour to travel between school and home.

If we take nanny bus to SHCK from Tsing Yi, it's only 30 mins.

that's what I concern too, I respect this new, experienced principle, if she bring some teachers into GH, that's good as they did good job in the old kinder. Anyone have information about this aspect?

One of the four English teachers is an Indian. I never have the chance and probably don't feel necessary to ask the other three teachers their nationality. But for sure they are not Caucasian.

Dear Ian,

又在這裡見你的post 實在太好了，其實之前我對SH完全沒有概念，但在追蹤你的post之後開始對這間學校有興趣，而且我都是喜歡較嚴的學校；小女0701大女，已經in左SC,KV,KM,LH,HKPS...，今個星期將會in PC，出年in SH，相信亦會報 HY。

亞女之前in各間時都表現穩定，答哂問題做足所有要做的，SC & LH waiting，其他 results 未知，我們全選廣東話 in，但仍遇到NET的interviewees，不過因我地平時用英文溝通，所以亞女都答到哂問題，但仍不敢抱好大希望，因今年人實在太多，而家最驚一間offer都冇，真慘！

對於上星期六於 SH 交表，覺得學校在屋苑下面，又要經過多條長樓梯，中間有一停車場，空間有點污濁，不知平時小朋友返學會怎樣呢？我們一月九號的in，有甚麼可以事先準備呢？SH的小學是否分津貼和私立兩部份？你所說的上小學保險是否就是私立部份？學費如何？

唔好意思三唔識七問你咁多野，亦多謝你無私的奉獻！
