I only tried St. Joseph (Kowloon) last year but I gave up the deposit and informed the school after my kid got another offer in the last X'mas.
Actually, I performed some quick interviews with the kids and their parents in the morning outside the targeted schools before taking any offer. I also tried to talk with some parents whose kids graduated recently from theses schools.
Basically, I feel that SJ is a good school but the variation among the student quality is quite big. The subject curriculum offered by SJ is good (similar to DPS), provided that kids can follow it with adequate support from parents (if necessary). However, SJ secondary school has not been upgraded back to English yet (since they changed the MOI from English to Chinese a couple of years ago ) though it was known that they planned to be "English" secondary school again. It may be one of the factors that affects the intake quality of the SJ kids for the past 10 years. Also, I would consider the school net of Kwun Tong not good enough because of the very limited number of secondary school using English as MOI (medium of instruction).
I have no information on the other school.
I suggest you to consider talking with parents of two schools, say, via face-to-face discussion with them outside their schools, before or after school hours. Please be aware that the info provided on the forum is for reference only. The parents need to find out a school that most suit his/her kid in terms of so many factors and some of them can't be predicted in advance of the admission to school. It is really not an easy job.
I hope the above can help. Good luck to all parents.
