It's so true. Many parents understand your point. However, not only teenagers have "peer pressure", we do too. It's hard to ignore what people are doing around you and just go your own way. Sometimes, it's best for us to step back and think again.
In reality, if our kids manage to squeeze into a good through train school, he will no longer need to compete again 6 years later for a seat in a good secondary school. Bear in mind, the competition will be even harder by that time. That's why we should try our best to help our kid get in a good through train primary school. A good beginning is very very important for our kids. It will save him from the hardship and pressure he may have 6 yrs later.
