我同你一樣心裡很煩，刹到黎啦，我都係未有太明確的方向性，我在BK也post左好幾個題目，但都好少媽咪比意見，可能大家都正忙著中，也難怪，希望我們可以找到一所合適的好學校啦！

I had the same probelm like you last year. My son got 20 marks if I chose a Catholic school. Therefore, I chose La Salle for the first round. He was not lucky enough to get in the school but his two classmates were in with the same marks. For the centrall allocation, I chose La Salle in Part A and B and finally got in. Remember, to apply other private / DSS schools for your son as back-up. Good luck!

In net 41 & only got 20 marks?  First of all, you have to tell us which school are you targeting?  La Salle? or Maryknoll? is the above two are so...the answer to your question is: keep praying to God if you are a believer( I hope), and 博一博!
But if your choice is the Holy family, than the chance is bigger, if your choice is either 華德or 耀山, you will get what you want even with 15 marks.^^

I know there is a girl who crossed districts to 41 Kowloon City and got her 2nd choice to Maryknoll this year.

Hi 努力加油 ,

I only applied 4 schools for my son, which are DBS, SFA, KTS and APS. Except DBS is DSS, the others are private schools. I think your son's kindergarten may give you a list of the primary schools. I tried to choose the schools that were close to our home as I did not want my son to travel long distance to school.

Regarding 喇沙or 拔萃小學, it is your personal choice. My son's classmate got in 拔萃小學 in his 2nd choice during central allocation.

Probably you should try to find some schools that fit your son's character.

我是41區的過來人, 可以告訴你其實這區根本沒有太多選擇.

其實你只要問自己是否一定要最top的兩間?? 仔是喇沙,女是瑪利諾.  如果是的話, 那便不用理自己幾多分, 1st round 同 2nd round甲乙部都要放它們在第一位. 怎樣都是一個機會(還要預備叩門呢!).  在這個情況下便要多考一些私校做backup!

如果不是一定要這兩間, 那有20分的基本上在41區1st round 90%可以成功.  今年拔萃小學, 九官及嘉諾撒等20分都可以入到.  15分就難說點.

如果我只有15分而又不一定要喇沙及瑪利諾, 那1st round可先試其他喜歡的學校, 得就讀, 唔得就2nd round再試. 在這情況如果還有私校backup在手, 咁2nd round就可以試喇沙及瑪利諾放第一, 再放拔萃小學第二, 九官及嘉諾撒等第三. 抽唔到就讀私校.

但如果無私校或唔想讀私校, 那千萬不要來到2nd round還選那些大熱門放第一位, 萬一唔lucky真的會出事!! 這時可考慮基華等次熱門學校便穩陣多了.

以上純粹個人經驗, 雖知道這世上最重要的還是天意.

Dear 努力加油,

regarding to the question of english level of LSPS.  I will comment it as "above standard, but may not be the top one".  LSPS is a chinese primary school.  The english language enironment is not as rich as DBSPS or CKY.  However, it's secondary school LSC is surely one of the top english secondary school in HK!  I think most of the parent who targenting LSPS are preparing the most easy way for their sons to get in LSC.

And LSPS has many adv. over other schools, which make it become the dream-school of many parents in HK.  I suggest you should investigate more before choosing it for your son.

Hi, may I know, if I have only 15 (Christian ), should I still need to choose LS in Round 1?  It is equal to wasting the chance when there are many 25 and 20.  

For Round 2 (41 區), is the chance low for getting in LS (not sure how many seats will be left for round 2)?  Any other good choices in 41 if a boy fails LS?  Is DPS (拔萃小学) good?  It seems that it is totally different from DBS.

Will u go to the parent meeting at the end of this month?  Maybe we can continue this topic in the forum of LSPS.
