1. 校車係咪只有九龍塘小學學生，會唔會有其它學校學生？  > Yes, only KTS students.

2. 如放學後有活動或補課，咁係咪要自已接囝囡放學？
> You can take the school bus too.  But the drop off point not necessarily equals to the pick-up point in the morning, except for Friday (because the ECA of Friday is compulsory).  While for Mon to Thu,  every student can have different days for their own choice(s) of activities. The school bus doesn't have the guarantee of the same no. of students in the afternoon session, so they assign only a few popular drop-off points.

3. 到學校和離開學校，係邊度上落車？有無老師或校工幫助？
> Somewhere near the school.  There is a helper for each school bus who is responsible for it.  I don't think 老師或校工 will help.

Any parents who wanted to hire a mini school bus from tsuen wan area
to kts, please reply this message so that our kids no needed to wake up 6am or even earlier for the arranged school bus.

I am interested. My boy will be in P2 this Sep, he used to get on the school bus at 6:50 since we are at the first stop. If we have enough students, we can ask the Tsing Yi mums to help. They are currently using a mini bus service, trust they can help.

thanks for your quick reply carsondaddy.
i went to school to paid for the school fees & asked for the school bus officer mrs. xxx that i
requested her to pass my tel. no. to those parents who live in tsuen wan area & of course she refused.!!! I had checked for a few co. that they requested minimum students around 8 to 10. Actually, I met 4 kids around my area, so that now I wait for more reply to group together.
I will keep waiting for the reply & check at the waiting stop to talk to the parents on the school day then.
Please keep in touch. (at least there are 2 kids now, right.? )

Welcome. I'd been asking for more parents to join in vain last year. In the first term it was originally as early as 6:40 to get on bus, then they pushed back 10 minutes maybe owing to my written complaint. In fact the school bus arrives school no later than 7:30, which is TOO EARLY TO US. My boy used to be the first or second kid to arrive his classroom.

More troublesome is for Mon-Thu, when your kid has ECA to attend which normally ends about 4:10pm. The school bus only stops at a few points like Lok Yeung and Discovery Park. For Discovery Park, the normal arrival time is 5:30pm. If they are not your pick-up point, then you have to pick up the kid there anyway and cost extra time to arrive home. My son normally arrives home around 6

opm on Mondays (to attend the music instrument class). You'll receive a long list of ECAs after the school begins. Since Friday's ECA is compulsory, the school bus will take the kid back to his pick-up point.

Pls keep trying! Wish we can organise one minibus route this year. And feel free to ask if you have any questions. I was also a CLOUD last year.

I wondered how long did your son got used to the very early new school time because my daugter was still wake up so late until 10am.!!!
Did your son enjoy the P.1 school year. Some
Mummy told me that study in kts kind of school,
you need to pay more time on their homework &
exam..., anyway, I kept telling myself relax & see.

It's a nightmare - it took us a whole first term to get used to.  But that doesn't mean he has no problem at all now, we still need to fight from time to time.  Because it is so early, he doesn't like to or have enough time to eat breakfast before leaving home.  He used to eat at school.  My son studied in the afternoon session of kindergarten for 3 years, so it is really tough for him to make the change.  Hope your daughter used to study in the am session.

There are normally 3-4 pieces of homework per day, shouldn't be a big problem except that  sometimes parents' help is needed.  For test and exam, I think Eng is the toughest subject since they teach one year faster.  Remember fr November, they started to use P2 books.  And the test papers are not easy at all.  My sense is the results can easily slip if the parents don't pay enough attention on the kid's performance.

There must be a probation period for a P1 kid.  Trust your kid will adapt to it quickly.

woke up so late up till now.!!!
I do hoped more tsuen wan parents will see this
mail & can join us to group a mini bus direct to school in the near future.

Hymen,

Last year, we had the summer preparatoty class fr mid Jul to mid Aug, running fr 8:30 to 12:00. So I had the chance to let my son get up early as a practice period. Since the class is cancelled this summer, think you'd better do some training for your kid before the school term begins. Otherwise, it can be very difficult for her and you.
