1. St. Catherine
2. Kentville
3. St. Nicholas
4. Anfield
5. Kent (Unknown) what's the full name of this school?

sorry about the confusion,
it should be YORK.

just curious why anfield get a lower rank in your opinion since i've visited the school, and it's much tidy and spacious than st. catherine / st nicholas

If the answer is York, the rank is re-arrange as follows :-

1. St. Catherine
2. Kentville
3. St. Nicholas
4. York
5. Anfield

In addition, the Anfield is not popular famous than the St. Catherine or St. Nicholas. Also I compared the school fee is most expensive than both.

What is the Chinese name for St Nicholas?

Anfield is international school and the students can only apply EPS not the local schools, so I think unable to compare it with other local kindergartens.

My daughter is also studing there for the Pre-programme class but is now applying the local kinder for the K1 next year.

please advise why St. Caterine or Kentville is more popular / famous than Anfield?

is it due to the primary schools ultimately the kids being admitted?
or is it simply due to the school fee?

My personal ranking would be as follows:-
1. St. Catherine's
2. Kentville
3. Anfield
4. York
5. St. Nicholas

Actually, it's very hard to compare Anfield with the rest of the kinders on the list. Anfield is an international kinder. It is unlikely that kids from Anfield would study in local primary schools because only spoken Mandarin is taught there as far as Chinese language is concerned. I can only say it's in a "different market". Anfield is actually a kinder with excellent reputation.

Among all the mentioned, Anfield is the most expensive one, also they state that their students can only apply the EFS. If parent is not going to send their child to international school, so must not chose Anfield. Also, their pre-programme is more or less like playgroup. My daughter studied the playgroup there before joining the pre-program.

EFS is quite good but as it is an international school, so also unable to compare with local one.

so will your baby stay in anfield's pre-programme before admission to local kindergarten next year?

is the local kindegarten on my earlier list within your choice too?

cos' my girl is a small applicant, i.e. born in oct.
i'm quite worried on her performance in kindergarten interview, especially the competitive ones like st. catherine or kentville.

do you have any opinion on Hong Kong Playschool (Kln. Tong)?

For Anfield's playgroup and pre-program, the parents need to pay by term, i.e. my daughter will study from Sep to Dec 2004. I also consider to change to the HK Preschool in Kowloon Tong or Shatin before admission to local kinder in Sep 2005. (is this the one you mentioned - HK Playschool?!) Seems it's quite good but I need to go there and see. If not, so got no choice but to stay in Anfield until kinder next year.

I have also applied St Catherine (1st choice) and Tai Wan聖心 (3rd choice) and St Rose of Lima's (2nd choice) for Sep 2005. Kentville is not my cup of tea as the students there have to work very hard.

Also, I'm not very worry about my daughter's interview, I'm sure she won't got good performance...ha..ha... let it be.

For me,
1st choice: St. Catherine
2 nd choice: Kentville or HKpreschool (not decided yet)
如果SC收或SC & Kentville兩間都唔收,我就唔駛煩,因HKpreschool可以直升,唔駛interview!
但如果St.Catherine唔收but Kentville收的話,咁我就頭痛!Kentville好似好艱深,怕囡囡辛苦,而旦又冇外籍老師,但上小學一流,考入出名小學機會大!
而HKpreschool同SC一樣有外籍老師做班主任,兩文三語辦得不錯,我囡囡返o左差不多2個月nursery(佢只不過2歲4個月),講多o左好多英文complete sentence,可能日日對住"鬼婆"啦!禽日佢仲用"普通話"問我"好不好",又話"老師,你好",好似真係學到D國語咁!但一諗起HKpreschool好似冇Kentville咁出名,又怕佢到時考唔到好o既小學,你知啦!好多出名o既小學都鍾意收SC及Kentville o既學生,呢個係事實!
唉!一諗起就好煩,你o地會點揀呢?
