Re: Who supplies food for your whole-day KG kids?
cmama,
I think all Day Nurseries need to have an in-house kitchen to cook the food. Like the one my son is attending. But I'm not too sure about this point.
If you are worried, actually you can ask your KG whether the food supplied contains MSG or not.
It won't be just any unknown food supplier because the KG needs to protect their reputation. Also because of ICAC concerns and SWD requirements the food-supplier should meet certain requirements and need to go through tender procedures and school chooses one among several bidders. Ask the KG (not just any teacher but somebody like Headmistress or 主任)whether there is a clause in their contract with the food supplier that the food must be nutritious and non-MSG.
Some food suppliers also serve non-MSG foods, e.g. the one in Baptist Hospital. |
