請教各位培正及民生家長

我打算幫囡囡報05-06年既k1, 知道呢2間幼稚園都要寫信去攞報名表, 請問寄信既來容(當然是去取報名表), 是否需要好formal呢?

I don't even write anything, just send the necessary certificate to them and writing on the envolope "索取k1入學申請表". My daugther will be attending Pui Ching K1 on Friday.  Take it easy, don't need any formal letter     

Sorry I don't have any information for 民生

Yes, return envelop is needed.  Certificate means birth certificate as Pui Ching only accept kids reach 3 years old on 1 Sept. but not 2yrs 8 mths like other kindergardens.  Good luck to you. you can check their web www.pcps.edu.hk

ho_fish, have you decide what to do, full day nursary and Pui Ching, Man Sang type kindergardens are entirely difference.  You better consider it again.

我唔係話培正同民生, 其實我都無報民生, 我見你上次問全日同半日制嘛, 如果你諗住比bb讀全日制幼兒園, 咁就同培正,民生呢類幼稚園會好唔同囉, 我如果無8錯, 你係咪住係葵青區架

係我睇錯。 我住馬鞍山, 心目中想幫個女報浸幼, 培正, 民生,啟思(因囡囡現正在屯門分校n1), 重有大埔教育學院。

越接近呢個要報名既日子就越苦惱, 坦白講我都係從forum上得知各位家長對以上學校既資料, 要知道每一間學校都有喜歡及不喜歡既家長, 所以好難下定論, 唯有諗住報左名, 收左我個囡再想。

我問全日班及半日班主要係因為大埔教育學院有全日班。

         Half-day (AM and PM session in k1
                        AM session in K2
                        PM session in K3)
          Easy homework
          Chinese primary school and secondary school
           
民生: About $1400-1500 for 10 month   
          Half-day (AM or PM session)
          Easy homework
          Chinese primary and English secondary school

Both can promote to primary school directly

Hi Alexismama,

Some parents say Pui Ching will only accept kids who's sister/brother or parent had ever studied in their school (including kindergarten, primary or secondary school) before. This's a privillage!!

So, the chance for other kids is almost "zero".

May i ask you if your daughter has such privillage?

Is it true for what such parents say?

No.  My eldest daughter get into Pui Ching P.1 without any relationship with the school and so do many other students. On the contrary, many students cannot get into the school even their brothers or sisters are currently studing in the school.

So glad to have yr reply. Tks.

Those kids can pass the interview of Pui Ching are very clever & independent, including yr daughter.

I agree what you said scare, shy, cry...during interview mostly lead to failure.

That's the reason I'm worry about how to train up my son to be independent & smart for interview.

Tell you my son is very active, talkative at home although he's now just 2 yrs old.  He can speak much (even can express his feeling to me, e.g. what he likes, doesn't like etc.), eat independently quite earlier in the age of 1-1/2.

However, he's sometime shy when facing stranger (e.g. when he stays with adult, not play with children), sometime is OK (as I can find him active, brave & enjoy in playgroup lession with other kids).  

PC is one-to-one interview, so that I'm afraid my son cannot keep his well preformance when leave him alone.

Could you share with me how you trained up yr daughter for the sucess?  Studying in Nursery or playgroup before interview?

Dear ChingChing Father,

Thank you for yr good advice.

May I also know how long yr daughter had stayed in
pre-nursery?  (Of course, different kid needs different time in the development of independence, obey, learn etc.)  I just want to take a general judge.

Family's teaching for a child is also important & helpful.
