DBS PD

My son is also admitted to DBS PD P.3 in coming September.  He originally studies at SKH Kei Tak Primary School.  In fact, he tried also St. Francis and Alliance Primary School Kowloon Tong recently and succeeded.

As far as I know, only my son was admitted to DBSPD this year.

Dear Bow,

Yes, my son was the First among all students in both P.1 and P.2 academic years.  He has also joined the school badminton preparation team (but this is his own choice).  Besides, he is learning piano at the moment and soon will take Grade 3 exam.  However, I believe that the fact that he is a gifted child may have some points in his application as I enclose also his IQ test report.

How about yourself?  Do you have a boy who will study in DBS PD?

The centre is called New Horizon Development Centre:

Time required will be around 2.5 - 3 hours (one part with the kid and another session with parents).  It costs about 4,800 last year when my son did the test.

Dear e-mame,

When my son was about 2-3 years old, I observed that he could stay long for a game, particularly he is interested in puzzles!  Very soon, he urged us to teach him Monopoly and card games.   When he was in P.1, he asked us to teach him Bridge, and he even invented some new playing methods using cards (which I found logical and sensible)!  He is now taking course in 'Go'.  Also, he finds his school work a bit 'too easy' and he doesn't need to do much revision.

Of course, these are only some of the points but every single child is different and I would say, as parents, you are most familiar with your child and you should know which areas he is strong and weak.
