All depends on the quality of boys and girls, in my son's class the top 6/10 were boys (0-07), other years are more girls.
I attended some Admission talks of different elite schools (I assume the fairness related to elite schools only, not for band 2&3), all principals said that every year intakes of boys and girls around 50-50. I did check their websites and confirmed that is truth. All principals have independent judgement to counter-act Equal Opportunity Committee's wrong decision.
BTW, the ex-Executive Director just appointed as Executive Council Member, poor HK citizen, Donald Tsang wrong again.
