My son is 2 yr 6 months and still drools a lot! He still can't speak much.. not even single words. Had seen a Speech Therapist before but didn't improve much coz my son didn't cooperate.

cecilau, yes my son had the assessment when he was 22 months old. He has delays in speech, both gross and fine motor skills.
heiheiyan, hmm.. my son can walk properly but he does fall sometimes. He has improved a lot after going to the physio session offered by DK (Duchess of Kent hospital in Sandy Bay). The therapist from DK concluded that my son doesn't know how to utilize his lips and he doesn't know how to blow... will need to practice it at home.

I tried hard to train him to use his lips and blow.. but he still has difficulty getting the idea and sometimes he'll get very impatient. The social worker had helped my son to apply for "early training" in Caritas (Caine Road) but the wait is supposed to last a year... probably will secure a space around May 2009 (we applied in May 08).

yes.. you are right.. his 理解 is ma ma day... sometimes I wonder if he doesn't understand or that he understand but refuses to do so. He's been going to Nursery for about 3 months now... he did improve a bit.. not a lot. at least now he points at things that he wants (before he didn't do so) and sometimes can voice out single words... how about yours?

ic... btw, what is "s 位"? My son was very sick that he stayed in the hospital for almost a year (from 10 months old til 22 months old). The doc said this may delay his development. But I personally think even if he was healthy that time, he was one of those slow learners anyways. So are you working?

cecilau, how did you apply for s 位? was the waiting list long? what is 3T? I think the doc has underestimated my son and so she only referred us to early training. Meanwhile my son is doing PT, ST & OT at DK (Duchess of Kent hopsital). We'll have a yearly review next Feb 2009 and maybe by then, I'll request to have s 位.
