If the kinder has regular mandardin class (eg classroom teaching/singing ) but the class is 'ENG-PTH' Class(medium more PTH). Can I know the disadvantage to the choices of primary schools? Thanks

Hi there,

You will not be able to select Cantonese as the medium of teaching. Only a few English + Cantonues (or Mandarin) is used in the entire school network in HK. Except those international schools which all of them have already adopted Eng + Mand. That say, school fees are expensive for these international schools. If you are thinking for local school, I guess only a few band 1 have adopted Mand for Chinese, others will be Cantonese and Eng for Eng lesson only. Except the very top ones... like DBS/DGS, SFA, CKY, TSL and others. These are very competitive school which you will face lot of competition in applying these schools. Make sure you are preparing you kids now for the best outcome in your P1 interview.
