My friend's daughter is studying in this kindergarten and she told me that many parents (moms) will buy luxury handbags or gifts to the teachers?

Just wanna know what is the average yearly spending

Oh really? Teachers had told me not to buy them anything as it would create problem at school. I then thought this is strictly prohibited by the headmistress.
Does your friend know what's the benefit in return that those pupils get when their parents buy luxurious goods to the teachers? Have better treatment? More generous in grading? Obtain Honour Student status? Well, I am just curious to know.

妳係咪聽錯左第二間幼稚園呀? 冇可能係根德園, 佢地一開學已經白紙黑字出哂通告, 其中一項列明老師不可收授任何禮物或金錢, 呢種校規亦是我選擇讓小女就讀此校原因之一, 當然, 有些幼稚園確實有送禮文化, 但肯定不是根德園。

Don't listen to this rumor~ I never heard this and don't think that this school is so commercial. I believe that even a parent attempted to give, the teachers wouldn't take.

Being a mom of a toddler ready to go to kindergarten, I also wish that this is a joke.
Yet, the luxury bags were sent ... and the teachers are using them ... but I don't know what's the benefits behind, maybe it's just to give "special care and attention" to the kids, not on grading. Otherwise, ICAC must have been involved already, and I'm not working there :p

我真係第一次聽倒D咁的事. 由頭到尾我都冇諗過, 亦唔會送禮物俾老師. 反而老師開學時送左好多貼紙同野食俾我仔就真!

如果真有其事, 你最主動又可以做的就係唔好幫小朋友報呢間幼稚園. 但呢度回覆的, 似乎都係現任學生家長(包括我)... 老實講, 真係未聽過KV有送禮文化囉!

係.....如果間學校真係有送禮文化, 我估樓主應該開post叫人唔好去讀, 而唔係問人每月spend幾多係呢方面. 講真, 一睇個subject, 好有'來者不善'的feel.

仲要個timing好啱....適逢攞application form及臨近interview嘅日子。
