有甚麼地方是要特別注意的 ?
This is an English primary school, so all subjects including maths and science.

How about the students?
Are they enjoy their school life?
Do they communicate in English always?
Are they study one more grade in Eng.?
(some school do like that.)

My friend is doubting in whether St. Paul Co-ed. or Good Hope or Maryknoll Convent. Which one is better ?

How about the students?    Average OK
Are they enjoy their school life?  Yes
Do they communicate in English always?
No, but they prefer to read English books than Chinese books.
Are they study one more grade in Eng.?  No, but as most of the subjects are in English. They spend more time to learn English compare with those learn in Chinese.

I also to know more about Maryknoll Covent School.
I heard their quality is dropping and it is hard for them to catch up becasue they can not choose P1 students now. Do you think that is the true?

I also want to see anyone know about Alliance Primary School Kowloon Tong (over Lancashire Road). If comparing with Maryknoll, which one is better?? I heard it is quite pushing because they need to keep up their good Secondary School Admission rate. And they have quite heavy extra-curricular activities. Anyone would please share with me their experience?? Thanks!!

Maryknoll and APS are in different grade. (I mean Maryknoll is much higher .)

APS is focused more in music rather than others. So their music level should be very high. But other subjects are not very strong when compare with other top schools.

GOod hope or Maryknoll-- I will choose Maryknoll because 1. overall academic standard is higher and 2. girls are smarter and 3. good hope students are more snobbish!
Standard of St Paul co-ed is probably the same as Maryknoll (both are one of the Top Schools in HK) but choosing between these 2 schools also depend on your personal likings and where you live and financial ability and co-ed/girls status.... etc.

In term of acadermic, Good hope is better than Maryknoll right now (and Goodhope is still improving) . If you know some parents from Maryknoll, you will see it differently.

When I ask many parents. Not only GH parents or others, they just give me a answer, even GH is good but still far not enough to MCS.

I ask them to choice either one they will take.
They all take MCS without thinking.(money is not a matter here.)

May be sports GH and HY are stronger then MCS. Since they have different concentrations.

I don't know about their primary schools, but MCS is head and shoulder above GHS:

2003 Results. % of subjects with credits or above. Source: school website.

MCS

HKAL: % of A - C: 67.8%.
HKCEE: % of A - C: 71.2%.

Good Hope:

HKAL: % of A - C: 34%.
HKCEE: % of A - C: 45.5%.
