The native teacher won't talk to u until they know that u can communicate in Eng.

Actually, i won't use the word 'friendly' to prescribe all the teachers in LH, except your child become their student.(都只係o個2位班主任會對你好小小,否則好有陌路人feel)

The first criteria to be a teacher is kindness and asthusthium. Aspecially when the kids are very small (like 2 year-old), the first experience to them is very important.....

Is there any parents whose kids studing in LH can share??

小囡正在讀pn am，之前在荃灣區上過一年全英語playgroup，講話很慢。今個學期在學之園上了一個月課，講話有明顯進步（不知是否因為it's time to speak)，班主任都很友善。始終這類學校的教導方法是有制度的，不會太鬆散，所以容易令孩子跟從。其它教師如何？因接觸不多，故不便作評。

因為哥哥在約克畢業，在選擇學之園時，滿以為可以輕輕鬆鬆又到三點鐘，誰不知學校對孩子的要求都頗高，雖然全年没有考試，但K3會有默書，又要寫周記；現在PN，上周末開始逢每周末會派發簡單功課，要求家長陪做，真係頭都痕埋。不過，學之園的透明度都很高，最令我欣賞的，是會教導父母如何從遊戲中教導子女，亦會分發教材物料予父母，與孩子一起溫習。

我覺得對於學校能提供每班一名NET teacher的安排而言，這個學費水平算是入門價了。

係呀,我個女07-08在學之園讀pn,
第一個感覺就係開學前會覺得行政混亂,不知是否暑假未開完會,開學前所有野都變得好快,就講08-09學費,由臨放暑假就放完暑假,就巳經變動o咗好多次
第二樣就係同你地一樣,覺得d老師好o吾friendly...
不過都係o個句,睇o下你要求d乜啦!

-外藉英語老師和普通話老師在不知道你懂英語/普通話的情況下,他們是不會與你說話
-語言環境一流
-校長有能力,有教育理念
-略嫌校舍全室內(無陽光)
-始終有一半是NET,學生比較'自由'
-有好多課堂相片可以自己於學校網download
-學費貴(but我都覺得值)
-會谷學生(在我accept的程度內)
-厠所衞生一般(試過幾次同亞女去厠所,都係見d厠所仔用o左好多手都無冲水,不過可能好多都係o甘,係我大驚小怪啦)
-擧辦給家長既talk,d講員都好有份量
-可能太出名,始終有d o吾憂無學生既感覺
-提提你,普英班一定是pm, am class全是廣東話英文班

我就因亞女既性恪問題,所以最終無在學之園繼續讀,你地自己再感覺一下啦!

try english adventures in tsing yi. they take the baby 10 months+, but mummy or daddy or helper must go with the baby.

the teachers are excellent and LOVE the children!

they have the class in english and in mandarin.

my babies VERY VERY happy there!!!

my girl studied pn there last year, i'm satified for both chinese & english teacher. the chinese teacher is very responsible, she did call me few times talked about my girl in school and if she found anything unusual happened on my girl, she did ask me when i picked up my girl. for the english teacher, my girl liked her so much and i find she's very patience and friendly to kids, my girl's english did improve a lot during this 1 yr.

overall LH TY is not bad except the school is small and no outdoor area.

Hi mirimiri,

I've plan to send my daughter to learning habitat(tsing yi) for pre-nursery. I've heard that it was not so easy to enter as there were so many bb applied last year.

May I ask you some questions, thanks a lot
1. which language did you choose when pn interview? is english more favourable?

2. what questions did they ask your bb?
have you done any preparations / training before interview?

1 I chose chinese for interview, i don't really think choose english will be better chance coz they are local kinder not int'l.

2 the interview not very difficult coz kids are still small, the teacher showed something and asked my girl how to say, eg. fruits and other daily use things. she also gave some toys to my girl to observe how she play. then few more questions to me.

I think the most important things are you have to make sure your kid can sit quietly, don't cry and do have reaction when teacher ask questions, be careful your kid just concentrate in playing toys and ignore teacher.

I think my daughter is the one who can't sit properly and quietly. she is the one who concentrates in playing toys and ignoring teahcers.

I have brought her to playgroups since 10 months, but now she still walks and walks around throughout the lessons while other kids are listening carefully to their teachers.

hope she will be better when she is older.

by the way, do you remember how old is your kid when having the pn interview of learning habitat?

the interview will be on March right? in that case still have few mths to go, should be much better when she's older, don't worry.

my girl was 1yr8mths when interview.

for PN, i just applied LH, in fact i'm not a very aggressive mom (a bit lazy actually)! i lived very closed to LH so i applied for it, for PN, i think location is most important. at first i thought if LH failed, i would go to playgroup instead of PN coz no other kinders in TY area i like (it's just personal feeling).

what are the other kinders you plan to apply?
