I am not sure about the academic result, i think both schools are about the same level.
But in terms of extra curricular activities, i think Good Hope is better, at least in the music field or sports!
But in terms of student quality, maybe 聖家 students seems to be more humble coz i've met a lot of Good Hope students and they are all quite snobbish (maybe because they have a rich family?)
Just some opinion to share!

Of course 德望 if not consider about the money.($3500 each month for 德望 and free of charge for 聖家)
Both are catholic school but  德望 is one of the top and dream school for many parents.

If I were you, I would try to see the public result in their secondary schools, the elective subjects in form 4 & 6. More subjects you choose, more chances for your daughter's future development. Another factor is the net in secondary school. Usually, Kowloon Tong net is better than Kwun Tong. Suppose that your daughter cannot be promoted to GH, the sec. school in Kwun tong in general is not better than Kowloon tong's. Hence I would not choose GH.

first of all GHS is in Wong Tai Sin District, not Kwun Tong.  secondly not a lot of good hopers come from rich families, despite the fact that GHS has become a direct subsidy school.
I dunno much abt 九龍塘聖家, but ur daughter has to be really self-motivated if you wanna choose GHS.

The thing is, HCFS doesn't bar you from applying for other good secondary schools. It should help indeed. See results from 2001-02 primary school subject benchmark tests below:

P6 pupils
English: HFCS 75 points; HK Average 54
Chinese: HFCS 78; HK Average 73
Maths: HFCS 76; HK Average 63
