今天梁校長說，我地的小老世升小六時，會是第一批全日制而依然仲有8班既小六生，真係可喜可賀，唔駛最後一年小學先黎頭痕．

因　2011-2012 會轉全日制，現在小二的學生，到小六才能全日制．

讀書只係人生一部份,
孩子有良好心理質數, 才可勇往直前。

咁我又八卦問下, 如果有八班小六讀全日, 即是說現有校址可能要擴建又或好似北角官小咁要搬去另一校址? 有冇進一步消息可以提供?

校長冇題及有關擴建或搬去另一校址. 就算到2011-12即我們的仔仔讀小六時返全日, 是有足夠課室用. 因到時p1-p3共15 classes + 小六8 classes = 23 classes (學校有24課室). 如我冇聽錯的話, 會是2年的小六生試驗行全日, 不是全校一次過推行.

2. 其實，學校合唱團係吾係有好多機會表演ga? 係吾係需要經常回校練習？
3. 如有機會入到，大家認為值吾值得參加？

聖若瑟書院籌千萬改善校舍
(明報) 09月 19日星期二 05:05AM

【明報專訊】聖若瑟英文書院今年可謂「雙喜臨門」。繼剛過去的會考成績驕人外，學校已成功籌得擴建工程第一期設定的1000萬港元款項。

校長梁長興表示，首期學校擴建工程於去年7月動工，預計明年1月完工。

工程包括興建資訊科技學習中心、美術室及多功能教室。

而第二階段工程會把被列為歷史文物的修道院大樓及聖堂改建，而學校亦計劃把新大樓的天台加建一層，以興建音樂室。

校長﹕有賴舊生支持
梁表示，有賴各地的舊生踴躍支持，其中包括已故校友Mr.Godfrey Agabeg，他於遺囑中列明捐贈300萬港元予母校，而恒生銀行創辦人利國偉爵士亦捐贈了100萬港元。

Dear Louismamama,

Pupils should receive notice from Music Club about they had been selected by their music teachers and need to stay at school on every Tue., but they could still join one more extra curriculum activity at Friday.

I think it is worth for them to join. They know it takes a strict selection cycle to be chosen from, hence they will think it is an honour to join the Music Culb. Moreover, participating in large competitions will build up their confidence and be claim during stage performace.

Let's count:
yr. 2011 9 classrooms extra --> P.6 could be full time (8 classes in P.6)

yr. 2012 12 classrooms extra --> P.6 could be full time (8 classes in P.6)

yr. 2013 15 classrooms extra --> P.4, P.5 & P.6 could be full time (only 5 classes each level)

yr. 2014 18 classrooms extra --> P.4, P.5 & P.6 could be full time (only 5 classes each level)

Yr. 2015 21 classrooms extra -->P.2, P.3, P.4, P.5 & P.6 could be full time (only 5 classes each level)

Yr. 2016 24 classrooms extra --> ALL pupils could be in full time !!

Am I correct?

1. 試音在開學第一個星期, 逐班進行, 如被選中, 上星期已個別收到通知入Music Club, 即學校合唱團.
2. 學校合唱團會參加校際音樂節合唱組比賽, 練習在星期二課外活動時間進行.
3. 如小朋友喜歡唱歌, 當然值得參加.

I don't understand what you say.

In a word, school has 24 classrooms in total. there are not enough classrooms for 5 classes of 6 levels in 2013.

上年校長說, 如要接龍及全校推行全日制的話, 可能會再縮多一班.

每年减3班，6年削18班。
Analysis on no. of classroom to be required:

	2008	2009	2010	2011	2012	2013
P4-6(am)	24	24	24	21 (note)	18	15
P1-3(pm)	21	18	15	15	15	15

Note:
下午有9個extra classroom，P6 students 可行全日制。

不知SJPS有多少classroom。若在2012，P5&P6行全日制，便需有28(5+5+5+5+8)classrooms。
若在2013全校行全日制，便需有30 classrooms。
假設SJPS每級只有4班，共24班。這與目前上下午各有24班相同。而這又洽巧配與中學結龍要求人數(37x95%x85%x5=145相若。

以上純就資料分析，並無內幕消息或個人猜估。

That means if the no. of classes remain unchanged in the near future (i.e., 5 class per each level), then from 2013 onwards, only P.6 of every year could have full time class? (because there are only 24 classroom in St. Joe, not 25)

Hi Derdad,

Sorry, I don't quiet understand entirely what you stated. Do you want to explore both P5 and P6 will be full day class (P1-3 :15; P5-6: 10 = 25)?

However, we don't know no. of existing classrooms and indeed whether the school will be expanded to have more classrooms in future.

應該是以P6學生達標計算，故SJPS若結龍也是2012之後的事。

我都認為係咁，校長說:今年小二生到左小六時，剛有８個課室供應比佢地用，一定唔會全校一下子推行，應該係每年遞減，所以我話，我地仔仔到左小六時，唔駛最後一年小學生涯先黎頭痕.
