even if you don't tell them, they know it's an interview, kids are smart these day and they can feel if parents are stressed, if you don't want to give them 壓力, try to act relaxed.
I chose to tell my son last year about the P1 interview.
Coz you have a lot of thing to prepare him for the interview, like self-introduction; how to response if they don't know how to answer; how to sit; how to play with others.
If you say just 去同老師/校長傾下計. you are telling lies and you are demonstrated a very bad example to them la.
also, most of the KG will tell their students about P1 interview ga. they know the stress already
No matter what you did. As my experience kids can 100% feel how nervous you are.
What I did in my past experience, I will try my best to COOL down myself. Then I will tell my kid that later on, we will bring you to visit a new school. See rather or not you will like it.
Nothing special, just play games with other or teacher might talk to you.
What I only remind is:
To say Good Morning when first meet the teacher.
Goodbye before she/He left.
When don't understand the question, just said Excuse me
(Those are the basic politness which we should train them when they are small)
The rest, nothing we can control.

Since my son had taken the P1 interview class, he already has the concept of the interview. While I will tell him "去同老師/校長傾下計, 玩吓, 睇吓自己鍾唔鍾意間學校, 但要有禮貌" even if you don't know the answer, 禮貌, 笑容, will help you a lot.
