My son is going to K2, but I just quit Kentville. Going to KCIS instead. My son is a native English speaker, and in the last year, he did very well, but only by tutoring 3 times a week. I also find KV too traditional and old style of teaching for my kids. Nowadays, the top brand schools interview by "verbal" more than writing... in writing, and doing homework, KV is the best school. However, I need a school that will allow my children to be themselves, not cookie cutted kids.
my kids in KV have been happy, but not the most happy. I think they are more like a NUMBER than an individual being. The school expects the child to behave, to write, to read, to walk the way the school wants him/her to.
I decided it's not for us anymore. I am a KV graduate myself, and a DGS alumni. Times have changed.
Just sharing my experience. Kentville is still an excellent school for many. |
