I know quite a few Chan's Creative parents through out-of-school activities of my child. The children of these parents are now in F1 or F2. They were generally not happy about the academic standard of the school and expressed reservation about the quality of teachers.
The school does have a wide range of extra-curricular activties and the amount of homework is very little. The parents did say their children had happy times there but the academic standard did not seem to enable their children to get into good secondary schools. A few ended up in very newly established DSS schools, not quite their preferred choice in the first place.
Changing school for a child is a very big decision. I did that two times and it was very very stressful. It is not something you can correct right away if anything goes wrong. So please do more fact finding and comparison. It is always useful to talk to the principal, teachers or even the students if you have the chance.
Cheaper than you learn in outside. e.g. violin : about 100 per lesson, Go : $50 per lesson, English drama : large group about $70 per lesson, small group about $100 per lesson. School bus provided even you have after school activities. They feel tired if you sleep late. You will find the schedule for them is very tight after school. Don't worry. They will get used to that.
