| Disappointed with the arrangement of the above course. Paid $5800 for training from Jan to April but the performance scheduled for 20/4/08 is called a "workshop" rather than a proper performance. Also half of the so called workshop is a choral performance by the affiliated choir and not the theatrical show itself, so the time available for the 90 young performers appearing on stage is very little. Also, the training schedule is too demanding, we go on most saturdays for 3 hours and sundays sometimes for up to 7 hours. There is usually one instructor to a group of 40 plus participants, the ratio is far from desirable. Above all, I hate to receive the unfriendly emails from the organizers, like telling the parents off for this and that, I think afterall the activity is for the children and the organizer is supposed to be non-profit making, why can't the people be more friendly. Anyway, there is a phase 2 from May to August when the proper performance is expected to be launched, we don't intend to carry on. Once the April workshop is over and done with, we will sing born free. I wouldn't say money well spent for this course, rather, since my child had enjoyed some of the training, I would say we got some value out of the course fee, at least. |
