LH does not emphasis on academic. So, the student will not feel pressure on the acadmic. I think LH students could manage P1 normally. However, my son is only at K3 this year.
Same as you, we talk with my son in Cantonese at home and with some English reading and learning in home. For my son's experience, he has no problem on using English and Cantonese in K1.
Actually, my son attend Cantonese+English in PN and K1. And attending Mandarin+English in K2&3. His pronouncation in English and Mandarin is ok.
If you have some worry in learning 2 new language together, you could choose Cantonese+English class. There still 1-2 mandarin lesson in Cantonese+English class evey week.

As per the sharings from LHK parents,
the graduates should not have any big
problems in primary workload unless a
few schools have huge homeworks.

My first concern of the kindergarten is
the teachers do kindness towards the
child more than the experiences.
Because if the kindergarten is a warm
environment then you will never hear
your child didnot want to go to
school.  It is never happen to my girl
until now.

I will not suggest the child to attend the
English + Mandarin class if the child has
no concept and no chance to speak in
Mandarin.  Because in the class the
Mandarin teacher should be only speaking
in Mandarin that no one will do the
translation.  So it was so hard for the
3 years old child to show the parents what
they have done in the class.  I knew
some of them in the past have being
一嚿雲 for a long period. (depends on the
age and the absorption)

May be the child can attend some Mandarin
courses before the term.

小兒是LH-K2普英班的學生, 他是K2才從粵英班轉過去的, 起初也有三個月的適應期, 因他不明老師說甚麼, 所以自信心差了一點。但在第四個月開始, 他便會用完整句子與老師溝通, 而且咬音也算很標準。現在他的英文跟普通話都比在LOCAL SCHOOL讀的哥哥好, 因為在學校每天都用這些語言。他們學校的功課雖然沒有約X或根XX幼稚園的多, 但由K2開始也是每天有中文生字、英文字母或數字等練習; 另外, 也有LETTERLAND和其他老師自製的WORKSHEETS堂課。學校也會為K2和3的學生安排小一面試班, 在校內教授孩子要如何面對不同的面試。我覺得LH的學生對於正常的小一課程的WORKLOAD應沒有問題。
