今日收到根德錄取信，仲要係上午班，好開心。但是，後來上網看到，才知道，原來，根德沒有外籍老師，而且比較注重中、數。想問問各位家長看法點？不知道根德如何教授英文，英文老師的英文水平又如何？

現在我小朋友在劍鳴讀Pre-nursery，有外籍老師跟班，如果劍鳴同根德比，邊閒好D呢？。下面幾閒，各位家長，你們會怎樣撿呢？

KV is a famous school, this is no doubt. For English, i think so far so good, but strong in Chi and Maths. No native english speaking teacher, i think its no problem, they can maintain standard.

KV can be the school which let your child to enter famous primary school, just like DBS.

i am also considering this quesiton.......
my concern actually is putonghua......

but then i start to think.......

for me....i also came from local kinder, primary and secondary school la...english...i think fair la....still acceptable.....
my kinder is local cheap cheap one tim............
so i think if my son go to KV, must be better than me...

however, what i worry is about putonghua le.....

DBS also consider heavily on your child's achievement in extra-curriculum activities, better at least have music and sport, most of the famous school put emphasis on all-round development, not just their academic achievement. So admit in KV not means higher chance to get in famous school. But in fact KV can give child a better foundation to adapt to the life of those famous school.

Also, these famous school also choose the students based on their interview performance, family background........
so it is meaningless to ask how many KV student go to famous school.

please bear in mind that goverment subsidy school is base on marks and address, not on kindergarten.......

只知道劍鳴, 樂基K1-3都有外籍老師長跓，小孩聽和講英語會較好.
2間靈糧堂都好多FANS, 識多過一個小孩放棄ST CAT.而入讀.

其他都冇研究...

PS: 小女都收到KV AM Offer, await for other kindergartens' interview result.

you are right, my daughter also was bad in pautonghua, when she was P.1. Now is Ok, because she go to pautongha lesson ( outside). But use a lot of $$$$.

English is ok, but seldom to speak. Writing and Reading is Ok, but oral not well...

I also consider the younger daughter will go to other school , if St. Cat or Pui Ching accept my daugher.

so trouble.

i also think of the language problem of KV , not only english but also mandarin. Since, girl can learn very fast in language in this age group. If St. cat accept her, i really don;t know how to choose.
