第一次入到黎lee間學校,覺得成間學校好多老師王1停同你打招呼(包括西人都好多),故此覺得幾親切,到入到課室取no. 貼紙都無咩嘢.跟住一位老師叫我地排隊上樓梯到另一間房,安排小朋友分組玩玩具,跟住個老師不停逐一看小朋友no.貼紙再係份form上面唔知寫咩(lee個時候我小朋友有喊唔知會唔會扣分呢?),之後老師叫佢地自己推番埋張椅再拖住媽咪去另一間房玩.去到條走廊指一指間房就開始好似無人理,入到去自己搵個位坐低,有四張台做面試(其中一張in國語),其餘3張只有一張有人in緊,我地坐係到你眼望我眼,等咗5分鍾有人叫啦,咪行埋去張台in,個老師黑口黑面,問小朋友嘢既時侯一d笑容都無,唔好話個小朋友呀,我都驚咗佢呀

,仲有佢個樣好似好倦未訓成咁.
首先比d咭問佢地係咩地方?有咩用嫁?跟住就將類似棋既放回有關顏色上,跟住就問我點解選佢地學校同埋對小朋友有咩期望.成個面試好似好簡單,請問有無人知佢收生標準係點呢?所以我對lee間學校感覺麻麻,剩係表面幾好,去完既感覺有d似[糖衣陷阱].

St. Catherine

Hi everybody

I am a new join. 1st time mum . I want to know how you feel about st. Catherine. As My baby is 15mths old and I want to application this kindergarten next year. If I don't speak Mandarine at home is it no chance of getting in eng/madarine Class. tks all mum

The teacher spoke too soft. I even
hardly heard what she said, not mentioned my child.

My husband brought my girl to the interview on that day, what he said is just the same as Amysin said. The teacher has no facial expression and asked the question quickly , she even forget my daughter's name.

係咪 in 英文啲先係咁? 我 in 廣東話, 課室入面有兩個老師, 見我哋果個雖然唔係話非常親切個隻, 不過又未至於黑面, 但係我見到隔離個後生啲既老師好好喎, 又好笑容.

知唔知幾時先有結果?

我個囝in時又係見個黑面的老師,佢一坐低就見佢好唔自然咁,我心林如果係呢個見就死,點知中左,一坐下黑面老師問佢叫咩名,佢就答左2歲半,問左幾次先講到自己個名,有張相係間屋黎,問佢呢度係邊度,亞囝唔識答,問完屋入面的傢俬再問返佢呢間係咩,佢好細聲話係間屋,後尾老師聽唔到,再好大聲吓左一下,當時亞囝都以為自己錯左都唔錦再答,所以我覺得interview都有講彩數.

no 呀. 我都係in 中文, 個老師見我個囝臨坐埋去in 時突然話要vee vee, 佢即時黑面, 面無表情. 嚇死我. in 完到走佢全程無笑過. 流水作業問晒d問題就叫我地返去等消息. 初初一入間學校時, 感覺幾好, 個度d老師好有禮貌同笑容. 校內亦有好多設施, 點知個黑面神令我對間學校完全改觀. 一諗若第時係佢教我亞囝咪死.:tongue:

the place was crowded out.  i wonder how children can be in their best condiiton when attending the interview!  i wanted to get out of there asap, too.

the english interviewers looked tired and impatient although they tried hard to maintain their smiles.  they had probably seen too many applicants around those few days and become mechanical.

i dont know how they do the selection.  just heard that the observation and assessment already began when the children and parents were moved between many rooms before the formal meeting.  it is said that children who take toys from others or who keep crying would not be admitted.  children who r too smart and active r not selected, either.  last year, a friend's son who answered all the questions perfectly was still not selected.  apparently, st catherine's prefers children who r well mannered, calm but independent.

interview之後剩係話OK啦,咩都無講,跟住我出到去問門口個老師,又係好似覺得我好煩個樣,跟住話12月尾左右喎.

我同阿仔去到門口,就有勁多人派傳單......一入到去我阿仔開始

,但係d老師仲勁叫你去入邊間room.....我冇理佢....我阿仔都未ready interview....dim入去ar......finally, 我冇in 就走左....睇黎都唔係損失.......

雖然唔知成績如何，但我就覺得我個仔表現比我如期中好好多，亦都讓我知道他的能力。反而我答問題就好"行": What is the reason you choose St. Catherine's? My answer: The reputation, well experience teachers just like you and the philosophy of the school. 如果唔收，只不過可能沒有luck或者是我表現比較差。其實佢依家讀緊個問都唔錯也是雙語教學，但同其他媽咪一樣只想俾多個機會佢。

My hubby attended the interview with my girl. Eng/PTG interview, my daughter answered most of the questions which surprised me very much. My hubby said the Eng / PTG teachers were very nice.
However, we might still not being accepted to Eng / PTG since my hubby said there were some native PTG speaking parents attending the PTG interviews. Even though my hubby's PTG and Eng proficiency are very good according to average of local HK people.

let's see.

Dear parents,

小朋友表現如何, 學校入面D老師表現如何, 都唔係大家可以控制的, 放鬆一點, 隨遇而安吧!

相反, 不如想一想自己可以做決定的事情吧.  人in 我, 我亦可以in 人! 有機會入到學校走一走, 你留下了什麼印象呢?  於我而言, 我有以下看法 -

1. 校園內佈置見心思, 事實上, 每一個角落都吸引小朋友, 值得一讚.
2. 校舍未免太殘舊了!  而且很細.  St Cat 每年有過千學生, 活動空間應該會是好迫好迫!
3. 再講, 班房更細!  很難想像如何可以有20個孩子一同在一個如此細小的班房內上課!  還可以唱遊嗎?
4. 小朋友男厠, 得好少格, 在排洗時間, 有排輪...
5. 好多人in, 但人流控制上叫做有系統, 至少, 校園內上上下下各人都知道發生緊什麼事
6. 相對於其他幼稚園, (St Cat是第四間去in 的學校), 教職員的裝扮較為trendy, youthful / smart, 予人一種energetic的感覺.

老實講, 如果收左, 在這一刻我都未決定讀定唔讀.  當初報名, 好大原因是名牌效應.  我相信St Cat 要保住個金漆招牌, 一定有佢的一套方法, 凡事有辣有唔辣, 如何取捨, 由你決定!

不過, 都係一句, 唔好看得太重, 收唔收, 唔係你話事, 要學好英文, 人仔細細, 仲有大把機會啦!

你真係觀察得好好呀!我自己當日呢就因為掛住拖實阿仔,行去唔同課室,淨係好似穿插於唔同班房, 都冇乜心機留意週圍. 印象中課室真係唔算大. 我都好同意,面試真係好講當時情況,而且成功/唔成功都只係一次個別事件, 唔好用呢個來斷定小朋友的一生.

My girl did answer all questions. But I found they conducted interviews in a rush. ?? Really can observe kids' performance?

I agreed with Amysin.

Compare with many kindergardent, St.Cat waiting time is too long....line up & go to the other room & line up again & wait....usually child wouldn't hv patient to wait too long time.

Teacher are no simle, no feeling just like a interview machine. They didn't do anything to attract the child....just wants the child answer them ASAP.
