CKY同啟思都係中學最後二年用IB Diploma課程,但係初中同小學似乎「路徑」頗為不同,請問大家有何高見？
如果想揾IBD嘅學校,你地會點揀？

其實IBD係世界各地已經唔係新嘢, 你個仔女如果揸住好嘅成績去到世界各地大學都會收, 而家全世界已經無乜地方考A-level, 之前都有新聞報導過有學生會考成績唔好, 但轉讀IBD後以好嘅成績入咗港大, 如果IBD唔得嘅話, 點解香港啲名校已經開始開多一班IBD比學生揀, 至於點解浸大唔攪, 我個人想是因為前校長是官立學校出身, 根本就唔buy啲新嘢所以就turn down 咗o係王錦輝個間學校攪, 並唔代表IBD唔好

其實最大的原因是錢.如果要做IB,政府話明無support (both financial and actual teaching-wise).要搞需要很多錢的,materials,resources(IB的curriculum and resources 是要向ib買的),加上教師要從新培訓,不是是但找個學位(尤其是香港的大學)教師就可以教.沒有考過ib又怎樣教呢?所以一間學校要搞ib不是易事. 你看搞ib的學校都是學費很貴的!

Actually, I learn from the P.1 seminar that the Creative Primary School will also use IB in their primary but seems that CKY is not using IB until the last two years.

If you want to find an IB through train school, VSA maybe your choice.

Victoria kin + VSA primary : IB PYP
VSA secondary (S1 to S4) : IB MYP
VSA secondary (S5 to S6) : IBD

另外VSA會否比較似間國際學校,中文水平相對本地學校低D呢?

唔一定要讀IB,不過覺得IB課程有其優點,更能滿足末來社會發展方向,唔考慮International School主要因為中國因素.
因此正硏究本地推行IB嘅學校,希望大家俾多D意見.

Creative secondary is a candiate school for its MYP and Creative primary is a candiate school for its PYP.

Candidate schools are those that have applied for IB status, and are going through the application process.

Actually, I have helped my son to apply for both schools.  In addition to the curriculum design, i.e. local Vs IB, I will also think about the following:
1.  whetherl my son enjoy studying in the school
2.  whether the teaching is effective

Do you have any comments on these?

hi Papa2000,

The chinese teaching and standard in VSA are the same as local school, but teaching of other subjects are similar to international school.  It's VSA's selling point.

But it's very difficult to get in VSA if your child not studying in Victoria Kin.  It's because priority will be given to Victoria Kin students.  This year VSA received 180 applications from Victoria kin students in 1st round.  VSA said that they prepared to have 5 classes only (1 class max 30 students).
