你們的囡囡開心嗎? 小朋友讀書吃力嗎? 老師好嗎?
另外,你哋覺得程度是深或淺或普通呢?
我囡囡今年要報小學,唔知點揀?

我決定下午校係因為津貼學校。

小囡在聖心都讀得幾開心, 老師大部份都好好, 小一至小三都無乜壓力, 小五、小六就較為大壓力(因為要上返中學), 程度係比一般小學深。

有個讀軒小家長係我同事, 佢睇完聖心下午出既"青苗集" (由小朋友的文章輯錄而成), 都話聖心英文水準高

如你囡要報小學, 上午校是要付$的, 約千幾元一個月, 下午校免費。

不過上午校就時間好用D, 下午校較上午校多課外活動。

想請問是否大部份的聖心幼稚園學生都會選下午校? 上午校又是否多外來生呢? 有沒有其他上午/下午媽媽可以分享下個囡囡讀得開唔開心呀? 功課多嗎? 有pressure嗎? Many thanks

我當年的情況是這樣的:
上午:私校, 幼稚園畢業生, 收硬.
下午:舊生, 教友, 入梗.
最後選左[上午], 原因是:
1. 入中學機會: 其實上下午的%差不多, 不過上午整體人數少d, 全級只篩出廿零個, 似乎穩陣些。
2. 時間: 如返下午, 放學回到家都要 6點幾, 吃飯後的時間佢開始做homework, 個人覺得如果陪佢做功課好浪費時間, 而且做完功課成9點幾先習太遲; 如果先習, 由得佢第二朝先做功課, 又冇人幫佢check(自己要返工), 而且要等佢讀左先有得問, 又係會搞到好夜. 所以寧願比佢讀上午, 我返到屋企佢已經做左homework(做得好唔好另一件事), 學左野, 訓左晏覺, 沖左涼, 左書(雖然佢自己讀唔係幾靠得住, 但都叫做讀左), 所以一吃完飯(8 點)已經可以check homework & 習.
3. 課外活動: 雖然下午班多活動玩, 但除左學校那些, 便很難參加到其他課外活動. 我問過屋企附近的課外活動班, 絕少是上午舉行的, 自己一個學的都可以就到(eg. 學琴), 但班制/團體的(如樂團)便係難就.

其實上午班都係大多數收番幼稚園學生, 功課也不算多 (3,4 樣).

Hi all SHCS mummies,

My daughter is now studying in P1, pm session in shcs ..For me i prefer pm session becoz we need to pay for am class ... However, if talk about the syllabus which others said that am session is pretty harder than in pm session. I don't care coz it depends if the kid can handle it or not. I'd rather let her to have a happy school life rather than always read read read & have the comparison with others. As long as she can do her best is fine (at least above average is what my requirement for my daughter). I rather choose DGS or St. Paul co-edu if i want her to be a VERY TOP KID ... Do u all agree with me?

Sorry that I am out of the town, so it is quite difficult for me to check from Internet and late for me to say a big thanks to your kindly reply.

Chuiyeebird, is the English textbook (singapore) difficult, since some mummies said Singapore book is much difficult that HK book and p1=HK p.4. Is that true? Where can buy the book? I would like to have a look on the syllabus.

Breefran, thank you for all your relevant point to my question.

hey 加油站,

The english book name is 'My Pals are Here' which is published which educational publishing house ltd and is bought from Jing Kung. As i know, this book is not that easy compare to others (other school) so u don't have to worry n simply have a look in bookstore.

Both am and pm school use same Maths and Chinese Language books.  But pm school uses mandarin to conduct 3 of the 5 classes.
Am use 2A english books, I think should be harder than pm school using my pals are here 1A.
To decide which school, you have to consider:
1) $2000 tuition fee vs FREE
2) higher english standard vs higher mandarin standard
3) whether am or pm is more convenient to you or more suitable for your girl

I prefer pm as my girl has been attending pm school since K1, and interest classes in the morning are less crowded.  Besides, I don't want to wake up before 7:00am every morning, esp. in the winter.

But the worst part is during long week, pm students has to reach school 7:55am.  It is a big change to their normal wake up time.

For PM session, in P.5 and P.6 will become whole day.  School time is not that early, 8:45am only.
