2nd interview for Form 1
We bought our son for the 2nd interview this week, firstly, we were impressed that the interview was conducted by the Principal, and we thought that this school was very serious about the candidate screening.
Nevertheless, I was so disappointed about the Principal's aattitude, he only asked if my son was interested in music? where to learn music? any awards or certificate in other ares? furthermore, once he knew my son went to the tutor school, he kept asking us why we had to take my son to the tutor school? why so many homework from the school? It seems that he is really looking for "talent" with a lot of awards and certificate in different areas, but not necesary to spending time in homework and revision.
As parents, we would like the Principal to brief how the school helps and educates the kid to be a "talent", nevertheless, throughout the interview, the Principal was so tired and unpatient, he had taken off his glass and closed his eye for more than 5 times within the interview only for 15 mins. He was also not pleasant to the kid either. If he is too tired after the whole day school, he should arrange the interview in different dates.
I hope he understands that the interview is TWO-SIDES, as a parent, we also screen the school based on the Principal's attitude and acceptance to the kid, despite that we hadn't got the result yet, we were quite disappointed about this school and NOT recommend to our friends. |
