Hi, all St. Mary's mami,

I need to choice primary school to my daughter this year.  Could you give me more comments of St. Mary in below points:

1. If the kids who is come from estate kindergarten? Did they hard to catch up the English standard?

2. Heavy pressure in studying ? Teaching speed is high/ middle?

3.  How many H.W everyday?  How many dictation/test in weekly/ monthly?

4. Did the kids enjoy their school life?

5. Will the kids have more competition among classmates.

1. Provided your child loves reading, should not be a problem to cope with the Pr. one curriculum.
2. Medium pressure.  the teaching speed in the first semester is slow (to allow students to cope with it)but will gradually speed up in the second half.  
3.   4 or somtimes 3.  Dictation: once every two weeks.  Tests: not a lot normally 2-3 times for each semester.
4.   My daughter enjoys it so much.
5. Since the school is a government grant school, standard among students may vary, I do not sense competition among students.  Frankly speaking, as long as parents do not induce such pressure or idea of competing against each other to their children, don't think children will behave that way.

Please do not discriminate those coming from estate or the poor. St. Mary's is a Catholic school who treat everyone one equal. If you have such mindset, I suggest you not to choose St. Mary's.

Thanks for your comments.  I was not discriminate those coming from estate or the poor.  

I just care the English level is too high for the kids who was come from stardand kindergarten.  

Because of some people says that the English level of St. Mary is too high.  So, I  afraid that the kids may be difficult to catch up the English level.
