my son put his head into water only at 7 yrs old. all along he join group course at school learning breast stroke for a long time- since head need not put into water. One day a young coach change to teach him. He is strict. He told my son if he do not put his head into water he don't let him swim. And he demand my son wearing his google and lower his head so the water will cover the google and ask my son to open his eyes to see in water. After 2 lessons with this coach, he is willing to put his head into water. cbut this coach disappear after two lessons because he is a U graduate and go for full time job - I never have chance to thank him!
I think one to one coach is not very suitable for this kind of kid because there is a lot of pressure. And it is expensive but you never ensure the result. Either just play in water, let him swim when kid become older, or join groups to let him see the other kis. |
