I think u mean really internation kindergarten not local kindergarten with international stream, right?
International kindergarten -
medium is solely english,
teaching approach : exploration, free play, expressing one self, presentation, self care (go to toilet, ask for help...), not so much stress on discipline and not so much stress on "playing together", learning/participation highly depends on self initiative.
Local kindergarten,
medium - mainly Cantonese
teaching approach : structured play, take turns, learn to wait/share, listen to the teacher, discipline, lecture is the main form of passing knowledge (even though some will say project approach, activity base), stress on discipline, sometimes teacher will arrange playmates if they find some a too "lonely" or fail to make friends.
