Can tell us more why did you give up? Is this a one dragon school ? (does anyone know if all the primary students can go to their secondary school finally?) Just for reference. Thanks.

As I know, not all HKUGA primary students directly promoted to HKUGA secondary.

Because the current P4 to P6 students, some of them are transferred from other primary schools. HKUGA are forced by the educational department to receive the students from other schools.

Thanks for your information. We received invitation to "Subject evenings on 13/3, 15/3 and 2X/3" yesterday and may decide after learning more their teaching methods and cicurriculum design.

"forfeited"? Can HKUGA rescind the offer?

We called HKUGA and they said they would reserve some places for outsiders in the years coming. They didn't confirm how many, however!

Seeing class structure of HKUGA primary school, they have 3 classes (87 students) of P6, 6 classes (182) of P5 and 4 classes (127) of P4 in 2006-07. So P5's competition is fierce! HKUGA College admits ~160 S1 students this year and they said ~80 would be offered to outsiders.

Most likely, it will be one dragon finally.
Of course, it is not guaranteed that all primary students must promoted secondary automatically.

All things have expectional...

Thanks, kelvinc2000, very kind of you... so HKUGA is not one dragon anyway. To my surprise, they offer half of their seats to outsiders (!!!) not good to their primary students then, where can they go if cannot go to secondary section? join the government allocation system? or???

其實hkugac"開業"只有一年, 就係呢一年, 有十幾個學生唔得原校升中一, 就俾人冠上"唔係真正一條龍"呢個罪名, 實在有欠公平

之前都有家長講左, 而家小學部既高年班學生(包括今年升左去中一呢班), 有d學生係創校初期, 教統局assign俾學校既(即係全部都係插班生), 學生水準有參差, 一d都唔出奇, 小學部係中文教學而中學部係英文教學, 根據學校說法, 係呢十幾個學生, 英文水平唔足以o係英中就讀, 所以就無得原校升中喇
今年小六只有80幾個學生, 如果中一繼續開6班收160人, 咁有80個位俾外來生, 好正常丫! 至於再出年, 有5班升上中一, 可能收外來生既%就相對少左喇
至於而家既低年班學生(包括我女女), 學校說法, 係以全部原校直升為目標.......我當然希望啦! 而家小一都係standard開4班約125人, 就算全部升晒, 都仲有20%學位可以俾outsider申請, 亦乎合教統局對"一條龍"中學既要求

Thanks for the information, the figures are reasonable. I have another question: if their secondary section is English, primary their primary section is Chinese? how to connect in future? What is their final exam target? will be IB only? or can have both IB and local exams? thank you again.

其實香港好多學校都係英中+中小, 就算有d傳統名校都係
港同小學都唔係傳統小學, 課程都有d另類, 好似學英文, 著重creative writing多過gramma exercise, 所以小朋友唔怕錯, 肯放膽去寫去作
我個女仲細, 所以我唔肯定去到高年班有幾ready去升英中, 不過去學校d咩發展會談, 我見佢d reader都幾深既.....

至於ib定local exams......我真係答你唔到, 因為對我黎講太遙遠, 我連小學部d料都未八得切呢

聽過HKUGA的中一簡介會，學校會預備行IB。實行時，會因應學生的程度，和家長的意願，去選擇IB 或 331。
即兩邊都行。
