DGS 每年學費$38000, 5年就$190000. 因為今年F.3-F.7仍然係非直資, 所以学費會係$180 -$290

首先恭喜您囡囡和其他被取錄ge 小朋友。

其實，以我愚見，DGS 就算轉了直資，始終都會係一所好好ge 中學，係而家呢個香港教育制度，好多家長都寧願自己慳啲，都願意讓小朋友讀一啲各方面都比較出色ge直資學校，所以我相信有錢亦都未必一定入到DGS 。

而另一方面，作為家長ge ，由您同小朋友報名ge 一刻，就應該要立場清晰。收到信後，應該再同小朋友傾偈，睇下佢ge 意願，千祈唔好三心兩意呀，免得將來後悔。MCS 始終要等到放榜先知結果，真係要三思呀。

如果我有個囡囡考到入DGS，我諗我連瞓攪都會笑醒呀

DGS 除了學術成績外(top range)，還要學生全面發展，如泳隊成員等，最重要是面試表現。小女雖然獲DGS取錄，但最後選擇了SPCC(她校內亦有一批同學棄DGS，選擇SPCC)

SPCC only shortlisted 400 applicants for interview and the interview date will be 3/3. Just for curiosity, why those girls think they can get in SPCC? If no confidence, why drop DGS?

My rationale is my son prefer DBS, but DBS will announce the final results in early April. I may need to drop SPCC for DBS. If SPCC is OK, we may need to convince my son to take SPCC.

Pls share your view and experience.

If my memory did not fail me, cskwong's daughter was admitted to SPCC last year, that's why he/she can give us some information about interview in SPCC.

Hi, ANChan59,
My daughter was accepted by DGS. As you may note from my previous messages, my daughter likes SPCC, so initially we were a bit puzzled as to what to do, to register with DGS or not. Since as you have said, we are not sure about the chance of being admitted by SPCC.

I think this is because this year DGS announced the result earlier before Chinese New Year, they used to announce after SPCC's result was out. A few of my son's current classmates who also dropped DGS offer two years ago.
Even though you accept the offer from SPCC and hand in the primary six register form, I think you can withdraw the form if you inform SPCC before the end of May. There was a successful case for a girl withdrew her form from SPCC two years ago. This was what I had been told by the mother. I'm not sure if it will be the same again this year.

She really enjoys her school life in SPCC. Last yr, we rcvd the result almost at the same time and my daughter prefer SPCC (boy & girl school). From her point of view, the resources of SPCC better than DGS. Each class only 33 students N for Chinese, English & Maths divided into 9 sets, that means only max 26 students for each group & the school quite emphasize on Putonghua, from F.3 onwards all Chinese lessons will be conducted in Putonghua. My daughter thinks that less pressure than DGS. From my point of view, SPCC even though may not be the top school in Hong Kong, but its stand point: 奠基香港，背靠祖國，邁向國際 persuade us to make our choice even though DGS seems to be the best school for girls. Anyway, we should discuss with our child which school they like best, as soon as they like the school, they will enjoy their school life.
