my son is 4 years old now and will be turn to 5 this september.i want him to study in shatin junior but i havent apply for year1 this year because he is still in In3(k2).i am worrying that he will be too old for applying year1 next year:-|

tairahkb, if your son is born in 2002, then under ESF system, he should be starting Year1 this year in August.
If you wait till next year, then your son can only apply for Year2 which starts in Aug2008 for him. There is less chance of getting into Year 2 as the waiting list is quite long for Shatin Junior. I believe the age of ESF Year 1 students = local K3 students.

since my son is a non-chinese speaker,will he have more chance to get in year 2 next year?
Or what should i do to apply SJS year 1 this year as the application period is over?
