Abstract of South China Morning Post Education White Paper

For those who are still struggling to make their decisions about whether or not to send their kids to IS, this white paper may help.

--------------------------------------------------------
An SCMP/TNS Opinion Leaders Survey conducted in October 2006 found that the city's business and decision makers and opinion leaders had a damning opinion of local schools and universities. An overwhelming majority of the respondents rated English Schools foundation and international schools better than local ones.

Most also felt that students at every level of the school system faced too much pressure. They found that graduates of local universities were strong in numeric skills, but trailed behind those who studied abroad in English, analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, leadership, creativity and international understanding. Most respondents felt that the government had performed poorly in ensuring the quality of education.

You need to pay the subscription fee HK$399 per year before you can get the file.  I am afraid they will sue me for the infringement of copyright if I post the whole file in here.  If you are really interested in IS and ESF schools, the subscription fee is worthwhile.

Re: Abstract of South China Morning Post Education White Paper

Dear ChingChingDad,

Many thanks.

It seems that it would be an advantage for us to let children go abroad for further study.
